Got news from BearNation.us (website - articles) that they have teamed up with Simon Kilner (photo) in regards to a new ad campaign. Just a reminder that BearNation took #1 Bear Site for 2008 (article), an award given by The Complete Bear. I received my copy of BEEF magazine last week, issue #41 (cover) for February/March. BEEF (website - articles - profile) is now in full cover and this issue is just as hot as all the others. From their site, they state that they apologize for the delay when it came to shipping #41 because they have switched to a new printer (I gather since they went full cover), and that they are still working out the 'kinks' with this new partnership. Anyhow, I got my copy, and it's looking good.

From Ning's blog, they stated to those who had built adult social platforms with them have up until January 5th to gather their stuff (stuff being their videos and galleries) as they will be discontinuing their 'red district' areas and closing all adult sections. Well Ning is having issues with their code and the adult sites are being closed before the alloted time.
On ChubSpot's main page, they state that "your friends list is not appearing on your profile page. When you click on the 'Friends' link on the upper right side of any page, you will be informed that 'You don't have any friends on this network yet'. Actually you have all your friends. When you go to your friends page, you can send them messages. This problem will be solved when we release our new social network. Our new social network will be released before January 1st '09".
On BearZone, on their main page: "YIKES! They pulled the plug early! Grrrrr. Don't worry, YOUR new and IMPROVED BearZone will be up on or before January 1st. In the meantime, we still retain control of our licensed galleries and can provide access while we are waiting to here back from Ning on why they wiped out BearZone 10 days before the deadline".
And then there are some who've already moved over. Got Fur? has already opened up 2 communities - Bears in the Woods with Grou.ps and the new Got Fur? on The Complete Bear.

The nominees are in for the 'Best of the Bears'. This is the 3rd year that 'Got Fur...?' (website - articles) has been handing out these awards, and it's all done thru participation. You guys voted for the nominees, now you must vote who should win.
You can find the list of nominees on The Complete Bear's (website - profile) blog page Bear Bones (direct link is here). What you have to do now is choose your favourite among those listed and email your answers to them. And I got some great news - PlanetBears has been nominated, not once but twice (we've never been nominated before): once for 'Best Bear Blog' and the other for 'Best Bear Resources'. You have until December 31st to choose your winners, so get voting.

Got Fur? (website - you need to register - it's free) is once again holding their 'Best of the Bears' ballot. What this means is that you get to first nominate and then vote for what you think are the 'Best of...' in several Bearish categories. In 2006 (article) it was Bear411 that won for best website. In 2007 (article) it was BearCiti. Who's it gonna be for 2008...?

His real name is Joe Mannetti however many of you know him as Joe Falconi (photo - courtesy of Lee Friend of Talk Magazine) . He has been the heartthrob to many a Bear lover as he's appeared in quite a few photo shoots, magazines and Bear movies. You might even remember seeing him for a few seconds on Conan O'Brien (altho much to the dislike of CyberBears).
Well Joe has been a very busy Bear of late, especially with the ton of work he puts into the GLBT community. You should check out this article on The Complete Bear (website - profile) to see all the things he has been up as well as all the things he'll be doing.
Oh - he also just won the Mr. Los Angeles Bear '08 title held by BearsLA at Oil Can Harry's last September 13th. A huge congratulations goes to him.
On a personal note, I have always found Joe super duper cute ever since I first saw his photos on BearBound (preview pics of Joe - articles - profile). There's something about him that just captures your eye... and keeps it focused on him. I'm sure we'll be hearing more from him in the upcoming future.

From Got Fur?: "We've been oh so busy. We've been building leather links and the leather calendar over at The Twisted Bear. We have been making nice to all of our Bear friends to get them to donate items for the Silent Auction at Lazy Bear. And, we are packing up to head to the rodeo to wrangle some cowboys - Sierra Stampede Rodeo.
We will be making our debut on LOGO during movie night at Lazy Bear... well sort of. We are featured in the documentary 'Bear Run' which debuts on LOGO on August 2nd. This feature is produced and directed by Dan Hunt - who previously produced the 'In The Life' (PBS) story on the Bear community.
And for the record - you are a very naughty dirty Bear! In the last issue of Chewin' the Fat we gave away copies of 'Prime Cut IV' (website - article) and you told us you want more free naked Bears. Check out this week’s give away on Chewin’ the Fat for more naked Bears. Did I mention naked Bears? LOL".

If you are a connoisseur of Bear porn, then you have surely heard of Joe Falconi (larger pic). He's done several photo shoots for guys like BearBound and CyberBears, and he even had a minute of fame when his face showed up on Conan O'Brien (article here). This week we would really like to feature Tom aka OHBeary ~ here's his TubeBear profile. Now Tom is this super cute Bear from Ohio and, as his profile states, he's a "Partnered chubby hairy techie Bear living in NE Ohio looking for pals and chat buddies".
Tom runs a blog called Jokie's Cafe which is a "collection of unimportant, mostly uninteresting and irreverent, thoughts, opinions, rants and raves on his life, our culture and society". Now Tom is also a chef, and he runs this excellent site called Bearly Edible which is "a recipe and entertaining blog for Bears and their admirers. We invite members of our community to stop by and visit. We have recipes, food and entertaining tips and other topics of interest to the domestic Bear in all of us.
If you are a Bear cook, we would love to have you join our panel of Bear bloggers. You can submit your favorite recipes and cooking news to the blog. We also host a weekly recipe challenge where cooks are encouraged to submit a recipe. So, join this new Bear community and widen your recipe repertoire at the same time. Robert Harmon of Bound in Ink has been pretty busy since the last time we spoke about him (article here - TubeBear personal profile ~ PRO profile). Recently he did a show in Albany, NY for the Albany Bears and currently he is working on a 20-25 new piece for the upcoming art show in Philadelphia with the Liberty Bears and his exhibit will be taking place from April 17th thru the 19th. It's his 3rd year participating in this fundraiser.
Now ~ head on over to The Complete Bear where they recently held an interview with Rob. Also, head on back to his site and on the main page you will see a time lapse video of Rob 'behind the scenes' of him inking a piece. And there is a new section which he added - it's called Goodies and you can download some fantastic desktop wallpapers, from 800x600 to 1600x1200 and you can even get iPhone wallpapers.

You are just not a complete man without visiting The Complete Bear (TubeBear ProProfile). You will be - as they state - 'a Bear in the know' with tips for your sex life, how to survive the dating scene, which runs to attend and an incredible shopping section with some truly unique and well made goods. There's also a great newsletter called Chewin' The Fat which "is here to help. For some people, it's never too early to prepare for Xmas, and for those of you who can't wait to buy for their loved ones (even if that loved one is yourself), then I highly suggest you start browsing the pages over at The Complete Bear.
The goods and supplies they offer over there are of high quality and most of the time are Bear themed ~ either the 4 legged type of bear as well the 2 legged variety. There is stuff for your bathroom, kitchen, bedroom... there's jewelry, DVDs, books, clothing, and so forth.
As well as shopping, The Complete Bear is also a complete website. Always growing, there is an extended link section as well as a great blog Bear Bones and a newsletter Chewin' The Fat.
The Complete Bear has also created a TubeBear PRO profile which you can view right here. If you have a Bear website, a Bear event, of if you're a musician, an artist, an author, then create yourself a professional profile. It's simple, just follow these instructions, make yourself a logo (300x300 pixels) as well as an advertising banner (720x90 pixels). Once you do that, your ad banner will show up for free on the main TubeBear page in rotation with the other banners.

Press Release - "Bears of San Francisco and The Complete Bear have officially kicked off a Bear drive aimed at the local Bear and GLBT community. Teddy bears collected will be donated to the SFFD Toys for Tots program benefiting needy children in the Bay Area this holiday season.

Frisch Bears and logos have been imprinted on over 25,000 tshirts, hats and more in the past 20 years. Frisch drawings have raised over $51,000 for charity in the past 20 years.
The Bears of San Francisco and The Complete Bear invite you share in the holiday spirit by donating new, unwrapped teddy bears until December 16th. There's a new issue of Chewin' the Fat, a newsletter brought to you by the gentle furry gents who bring you The Complete Bear. First off, I gotta say that this pic of the snorkeling Bear turns me on and I'm not into snorkely sex.

Head on over and take a gander at the latest Chewin' the Fat newsletter which was posted on May 8th. Topics include defining a Bear, things you'd share with your partner (I'd share my toothbrush but probably not my Kleenex... ok I'll hush).
Then there's also an article about 'Bear' accessories for around the house because Chewin' the Fat is associated with The Complete Bear, an online store that has almost everything and anything bear related - as in the real animal with 4 paws that lives in the woods. And they are also adding a bunch of Bear related stuff to their inventory, as in the 2 legged hairy critters with bulges and 5 o'clock shadows... but with most Bears it's 11 o'clock shadows. Just head over there and don't mind my ramblings.

The latest issue of Chewin' The Fat is up for you guys to peruse. It's a newsletter from the guys who run The Complete Bear which is a great site that specializes in all things bear almost.
Now I do have a question (or maybe it's more of a request) - there's this cute bald shaved Cub-cum-Bear I keep seeing in some of these Chewin' The Fat issues... and he's adorable... and this week he's ducted tape... and that's kinda hot.
