Nard (TubeBear profile) along with his superhero sidekick Ray (TubeBear profile) broadcasted their show BearPodCast (articles) live at BearWatch (website - TubeBear 'PRO' profile - articles) in Galveston, TX.

BearPodCast was using TubeBear's livestreaming connection in order to broadcast. If you're interested in going live, contact us (email - form). It's very simple to setup and we'll broadcast you from our site as well as on your site.

The Trinity River Bears of Fort Worth, TX who have been bringing you Bear Trek for the past 6 years in the month have May have postponed their 7th until further notice.

On their website, they state that they have plans on running it later on in the year and to keep an eye on their website for further details about their upcoming schedule.

I'm going to be honest and say that the only real reason why I am posting this event is because I kinda fell in love with their logo, especially when Puppy training has nothing to do with the Bear culture. So yes, I might be shallow or easily persuaded when I see cute paws, nevertheless here's an article about the upcoming International Puppy & Trainer Conference (IPTC) which will be taking place in Dallas, TX from September 26th thru the 28th. From IPTC: "Whether you are a Puppy, a Trainer or just curious about the lifestyle, we encourage you to join us at The Sterling Hotel for the IPTC and Pup Out! This weekend will include classes specifically designed for pups and trainers as well as a panel discussion with pups and a trainer to field questions and topics. All pups need play time, so there will be three scheduled mosh pit times available for all those pups who want to really get into head space and have fun with other pups".

Here's a follow up from the live broadcast show that we featured here on TubeBear over the weekend. The show involved Nard (TubeBear profile) of BearPodCast, along with his buddy Ray aka HouBearDad (TubeBear profile). They were doing their show live from Texas Bear Round Up ~ click here to listen to that podcast. Well we were able to stream half of the show but the hotel in which they were staying was having major packet loss - which means the hotel kept losing the connection, so about midway we were no longer able to broadcast. Nevertheless, we are hoping to do this again in May with BearWatch (article) which will be taking place in Galveston, TX from May 16th thru the 18th. Nard is going to try and broadcast again, so let's hope there won't be any packet losses from their host hotel.

Also - if you have an event and you would like to broadcast, then make sure to contact us. We can help you set up your own live feed from your event, and what's even greater is that we can have it set up from your website as well. So not only will you be broadcasting from TubeBear but you will also be streaming from your homepage. Sounds like fun? It's a long title for this article but that's because there's a lot of stuff happening. Here's the lowdown: 1st off - Cirque Des Soleil (Circus of the Bears) is happening this upcoming weekend and it's this year's theme for the Texas Bear Round Up. This event is hosted by the Dallas Bears and it all takes place in Dallas, TX from March 20th thru the 23rd.

2ndly - Nard (TubeBear profile) of BearPodCast, along with his buddy Ray aka HouBearDad (TubeBear profile) - are going to do their podcast show at the event. This time, they are going live, which brings me to number 3.

3rdly - yes... live... this is going to be the 1st time that a Bear event will be broadcasted live on the net. Last week Nard, Ray and TubeBear did some tests and the results were positive (save a few audio glitches). It was so succesful that Nard posted the show (BearPodCast 191).

which brings me #4:

4thly - if you have a Bear event and you wish to broadcast some of it live, then we can do this on TubeBear. What's great is that not only do we broadcast here in on our site, but we can also set it up and broadcast it on your site as well, at the same time... live. This is great - it's a simple yet new technology and TubeBear is officially the 1st Bear site to offer this. A new site is on the horizon - it's called ManlyBears and right now it's 'under construction' however the webmaster Joey (TubeBear profile) is calling out for Bear and Chub models to apply. He has just bought a new studio for movies and photo shoots and he is located in Houston, TX. They are even willing to pay for your trip to their studio if they like what they see. Time to shine those boots spotless, buzz that hair down to a bristle and stand at attention because this year's BearWatch is all about Booty Camp. This is their 9th BearWatch and it will be taking place in Galveston, TX from May 16th thru the 18th.

The following description of the event is from their chairman, Patrick Gay: "The Corps has done an outstanding job this year readying the barracks, mess hall, and shore leave for all you hot Bears, Chasers, Cubs, Admirers, and anyone else who likes a man in uniform. The Inn at the Waterpark in Galveston, Texas will be affectionately dubbed Fort Booty. The hotel rate is the same as last year ($89.95/night) and they are taking reservations now!

New this year is the Groove Bar - our new host bar. It promises to be even better than before - with more free time to meet a soldier or four to take back to your bunk. The pool will be open for business on Friday night and you'll be able to take your own drinks Friday and Saturday nights. Oh... and there'll be a soldier manning the hospitality suite where you can pick up a drink, watch a few minutes (or more) of some grade A adult movie entertainment, and who knows, maybe even torpedo a Rear Admiral, if you are lucky!

Of course, we'll do our best to fatten you up with breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. On Saturday afternoon, we're off to the beach for a little RnR where you can see all those scantily-clad furry men, bathing in the sun and having a drink or nine. Come on down to Galveston and show us your Booty".

The month of October is just around the corner and that means that there are 6 talented cute husky Bears that are coming to an American town near you. The event is called Bears on the Run. Shows begin in Dallas, TX on October 19th and it will end Wichita, KS on November 4th. In between those cities, they will be visiting Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis and Tulsa... phew.

Now who are the men that make up Bears on the Run. You can find out more about them here, but below is the lowdown: There's Bobaloo (website - TubeBear profile), Shannon Grady (website), Matthew Temple (website), Nakia (website - TubeBear profile), Elijah Black (website), and Kendall (website). Honestly, if you're near any of those towns or you just have to drive an hour or even 2 to see these guys, then do it... it will be one event I'm sure you will not forget.

The Heart of Texas Bears are welcoming you to their upcoming Back 2 the Woods 3 which will be taking place at the TCC Landsite on Buzzards' Peak near Cameron, Texas from October 12th thru the 14th. The landsite is convenient to Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston. "Facilities include showers, toilets, walk in cooler, ice machine, kitchen, and a pole barn. All facilities, and many campsites, are handicap accessible. All food, drink, entertainment, and a run pin are included. Don't have a tent or trailer? No problem. Stay in the bunkhouse. A limited number of indoor accommodations are available for a nominal charge".

From the Bears on the Run site: "Over the last few years, outlets like Bear Radio Network, Bearapalooza and Woobie Bear Music, along with a host of supportive Bear runs, bars and podcasts, have given Bear musicians, songwriters and performers a place to share their talents. This fall, 6 performers will head out in a van for the 1st ever Bear tour which will span 12 cities and 7 states including Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma.

The tour is called Bears on the Run and showcases the talents of Bobaloo (a comedian from Los Angeles, CA - TubeBear profile), Kendall (a songwriter and performance artist from Buffalo, NY), Matthew Temple (a folk singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN), Nakia (a Blues singer/songwriter from Austin, TX), Elijah Black (a rock singer and songwriter from Akron, OH) and Shannon Grady (a singer and songwriter from Minneapolis, MN). Along for the ride will be two videographers who will capture performances as well as life backstage and on the road to be edited into a documentary.

The tour's founder Shannon Grady (a singer and co-host of the popular podcast bTALK) hopes that the tour will grow and open up doors for other Bear artists and find new audiences for their work".

Texas based Nakia ~ Nakia.net, the Bear with the hot voice to match those stunning looks of his will be at the Music & Entertainment Emerging Artist Series which is happening tonight - April 12th. This is taking place at Antones in Austin, TX. I'm not sure when they will be airing this show, but it's going to be great to see this handsome Nakia sing his heart and soul out, because if you haven't heard what he sounds like, then make sure to check out his audio and visual page. I'll keep you posted as to when you can see this.

The event will be taking place at the Texas Conference of Clubs Buzzards’ Peak landsite from May 4th thru the 6th. Tomorrow ~ March 22nd ~ is when the Texas Bear Round Up begins and it will run right thru until the 25th in Dallas, TX. The event is hosted by the Dallas Bears, and from their site, registration is now closed and 'door registrations' will be on a 'space available basis' only. This year TBRU is called Cell Block 12 ~ wonder if they'll have any of the guys dressed as cellmates with iron leg cuffs... and they become your sex slaves for the evening... ok I need to get out more.
