UpBear will be getting together for a spaghetti supper over at the Woof Bar & Bistro which is located at 1661 Ste Catherine street in the center of the Gay Village in Montreal. This is going to be their 2nd time doing this and from what I heard, the 1st time they did this there was a good turnout and the food was excellent. My partner Roger (gallery - profile) and I (Forrest - profile) are planning on being there so if you want to drop by and say hello, do not be shy.
UpBear is a group created by Jean (JBearWoof - profile) with assistance from Jacques (PandaMontreal - gallery - profile) and Woof is owned by Paul (Quebecois - profile).

My bad for not posting this yesterday - I've been catching up with my emails and this article should have been posted yesterday...
The UpBear (website - articles - profile) bunch in Montreal who usually only get together once a month for Brunch are now working another meeting - this time it's for 'Spaghetti Supper' at the Woof Bar & Bistro (website - profile) which is located on 1661 Sainte-Catherine in the heart of the Gay village in Montreal (and some of you might remember that the Woof bar held the 1st Bear contest awhile back - check out all the articles surrounding that event here and check out the video I made here on YouTube).
Ok so the reason why I should have posted this yesterday is that they got together for their 1st supper last night, however their next one will be on Wednesday, November 5th. And as for the UpBear brunch, they will be getting together on Sunday, October 26th at the Restaurant Palais Montcalm which is at 1314 Ontario Street.

Last Saturday night the Woof Bar (website) held the very first Monsieur Bear Montréal contest. 5 guys competed and it was Robert Pettigrew who took the title. Check out the pics from the event here. On a personal note, my partner Roger (galleries - profile) was one of the contestants and he was runner-up, and from what I understand, he was very close to winning. Nevertheless he had fun and he looked great in his business suit and leather gear.
As I mentioned, we were there broadcasting the show live thru TubeBear - however we did have issues, mostly wi-fi issues. The connection would fade out, and each time it did we lost the broadcast, so there was a lot of reconnecting going on. The good news is that we taped the whole show, which means you'll be able to see it soon.
Once again, check out the pics here from the contest, and below is a RIM (Recorded Instant Message) Roger and I (Forrest) made the day after the contest.

TubeBear is going to be livecasting the 'Monsieur Bear Montréal' contest tonight - Saturday, August 30th - 10PM EST - at the 'Woof Bistro & Bar' (website - articles - profile) which is at 1661 Ste Catherine street in the Gay Village of Montreal.
This is going to be the 1st Bear contest ever that this city is going to see, so it's not only going to be fun but a bit monumental. Woof bar is also new and it's the 1st bar that is catering to Bears and their admirers. The owner is real cool and sympathetic, so we're all hoping this is going to be the start of a really good thing.
I (Forrest) will be broadcasting live from the bar, so if you cannot make it in person, then come by and watch it online, either on PlanetBears or on TubeBear. Make sure to send in some messages during the show.
ps - my hubby Roger (galleries - profiles) is going to be one of the contestants for Monsieur Bear. This is the first time he's ever done anything like this so he's a bit nervous but he's also excited and he's out to have fun. Make sure to come by and root for him, in person on online.

Head over to the brand new Woof Bistro & Bar 'cause they will be hosting the very first Monsieur Bear Montréal contest (French poster). This is the very 1st Bear contest the city has ever seen so you don't want to miss out on this memorable event.
The Woof Bar opened its doors in June and it is also the first and only Bear bar in Montreal. The owner Paul (TubeBear profile) has been working seriously hard on getting the word out that he wants to make this bar the place for Bears and admirers to hang their hats. It is located on 1661 Ste Catherine street, in the heart of the Gay Village.
Getting back to the contest, there are some fine prizes to won for the contestants as well as for spectators. Cash prize, DVDs, and much more. However the real prize is that Montreal will be seeing its very 1st Bear contest. It's about time.
Also, Roger (gallery - profile) and I (Forrest - profile) are going to be there, and we will be livestreaming the event so if you can't make it to Canada, then make sure to login and catch the action online. I will also be filming the event...
Also, I've been trying to convince Roger to participate in the contest. I think he's hot but he's super shy. Why not email Roger and tell him you'd love to see him be a contestant as the 1st Monsieur Bear Montréal.

The island of Montreal is going to see its very 1st Mr. Bear contest (or it's the very 1st one that I have heard of). It is going to take place at the Woof Bistro on Ste Catherine street on August 30th.
Woof Bistro is a brand new bar/resto which opened its doors on June 20th (article) to fine food and whatever you fancy to drink. And if you haven't been to the Gay Village in Montreal this year, well they did something great by closing off a huge chunk of Ste Catherine for pedestrians only, and Woof Bistro has a great terrace for those who enjoy fresh air while looking Bearishly sexy.
So, if you think you have what it takes to be the very first Monsieur Bear Montréal (French poster) then make sure to drop by the Woof Bistro, and if you have any questions or comments, contact the cute and cuddly owner Paul (profile).
