Some people hate their boss while some people are sleeping with their boss... and isn't it great when you're the boss...? Why all this boss talk? Well check out Bossy Sculpture, original artwork created by the handsome (and not so bossy looking) Jorge. Reading his bio, it states that Jorge is born and raised in Spain and has had a love affair with animation and art sculpture since very young. He's been working on model collections since '97 and what you see on his site is his latest and 3rd collection which is still a work in progress. Some really great stuff he's got going on there - from muscle-type construction guys to right-out Bears.

Visit his online shop - as it states on his site: "Each figure in this series is individually designed and produced. The process begins with an original hand drawn design. The drawing is used to create an original sculpture which is made out of clay. A mold of the original sculpture is made in silicone rubber. Each design produces 50 individual hard resin castings. Each casting is then sanded and hand painted with high quality acrylics. Finally each casting is given a protective coating".

On TubeBear, there's over 8600 profiles with around 3200 images in their galleries, and there is sure a lot of very good looking men. What I like to do is browse the galleries... and I came across this photo (small - large) which is just... well... spectacular, or I think so anyway (there's always going to be a picture that will impress over the others... just like a song you listen to over and over... or that Xmas time movie you always want to see again and again).

His nickname is Cabriat (profile), he's in Spain, there isn't anything added to his 'about' section yet he's 35, and I know he takes a great photo. To see the rest of his gallery, you need to login to TubeBear.

GuadalkiBear, the Bear club of Southern Spain, are having their ConBeargence from October 9 thru the 13th. The meeting will be taking place in Seville, "a beautiful city with a charm all of its own that makes it a special and unique place. Their star activity is an evening cruise and party onboard as they float down a river in Seville called Guadalkibir. Last year 800 guys showed up so it's sure to be a blast once again.

We have randomly chosen a winner for our ButchBear DVD giveaway contest. The winner is JovenBear (profile): that photo was taken by GianOrso (website - profile). JovenBear has won the DVD Bounty Hunter (photo inlet #1 - inlet #2)... how did he win...? By simply joining TubeBear and creating a profile with a main photo. It was that simple. Awhile back we mentioned we were going to choose a winner, and JovenBear is our first one, and what a cute Spanish Bear is he at that.

Ursus Planet (which translates as Bears' Planet... which sounds a lot like PlanetBears... which is very cool) will be conducting their next event on the beach in Sitges, Spain from September 19th thru the 23rd.

"Ursus Planet was conceived and created in 2002 in Sitges by Manuel Garcia (Get Real Productions). His main goal with Ursus Planet has been to provide the best possible events, socials and entertainment for Bears, Cubs, Chubs, Daddies, their friends and admirers, all over the world".

His name is Yotto Bano and the best way to describe this Spaniard's work... well... call it 'Graffiti & Urban Bear Art'. Yotto is from Barcelona and he does this incredible artwork which has a strong graffiti/urban twist to it. His stuff is so cute you want to hug the walls he's painted.

Check out his uniquely named blog Ursalalala. From there you'll get a better idea at his style, and you'll also see just where you might find his artwork. Yotto would also like to let you guys know that in case you need a wall painted with some 'gortitos', to let him know.

There's a group in Spain called Bear Sitges Club, situated in Sitges (Wiki) and they are a very active bunch, as I have written several articles about them in the past. They have an upcoming event entitled 'El Planeta De Los Osos' aka 'Planet of the Bears' which will be taking place from September 8th thru the 14th'. It's their International Bear Week and they hold their Mr. Bear Sitges.

Parisian artist Guy Thomas (website - profile) is going to be showcasing his excellent material in Madrid for the very first time. It will be at the Hot Bar from July 4th thru September 15th. The exhibition is called 'Bearroco' (flyer). Guy states that this is going to give him the opportunity to pay a tribute to the Golden Age Masters of Portrait as well to his favourite subject of painting Bears which he has been doing for 10 years professionally.

In other news ~ Guy, after many years drawing mostly in monochromatic, states that he is rediscovering the joy in doing oil painted portraits; "I enjoy the strength of oil colours, sometimes on a golden background - like the Middle Age icons, of course to represent Bear-Icon... in my way".

This week TubeBear is proud to feature OsoVision (here's his TubeBear profile). His name is Pepe Devesa, he's 47 years old, he's from Spain and as he states in his profile, he digs exclusively strong, stocky bulky guys who can be overweight, so thin guys, runners and swimmers please refrain in trying to hook up with him, even though OsoVision is a very good looking Bear himself.

Now if you head on over to OsoVision's MySpace page, and you check out his pics section (you need to login), you will discover that Pepe is also an excellent drawer. His stuff is pretty incredible.

So make sure to say hello to Pepe, send him a little note letting him know he's cute, you think his drawings are great, or just leave a little comment in his guestbook. The latest issue of BearParty Magazine is out for March and April. You can find a copy at your local Bear bar and you can also it read it online for free with a membership at BearParty.com. BearParty Mag is associated with CyberBears.

From the introduction to the current issue: "March and April are the start of the mid-year Bear season all around the world, and as usual, they're kicking it off in Europe with Bearcelona. I need to make a correction; In a previous article I wrote entitled Antinoo Calendar - I mentioned about Antinoo (website), his calendar and his work he has done with the Mad Bears of Spain... ok no correction needed so far... however I go on to mention that the Norway Bears ~ Den Norske Bamseklubben ~ wrote an article about the calendar. I need to make a small rectification here... or this could also be considered an announcement:

Antinoo is going to be working with the Norway Bears and he is going to be making images using motifs from classical Nordic paintings (much like he did with the Mad Bears)... what Antinoo does is that he manipulates these images by placing cute Bears into the paintings. My bad for not getting the whole story straight... it's because I was pretty much guessing what this article from the Norway Bears was all about.

There is this very cool looking 2008 calendar involving Bears and very old paintings. Ok so it's already the middle of February but that should not stop you from picking up your own copy. It's a calendar done by photographer Antinoo (website) who works with the Mad Bears (musical front page) of Madrid, Spain.

It's time to make plans for a very exciting cruise which is being hosted by the Bearcelona Bears of Spain. It's aptly called Bearcelona Cruise ~ this will all be taking place from July 5th thru the 13th.

The following is from their site: "Bearcelona Cruise was born when we saw that largest 'all gay' cruise in Europe was going to leave from our city, and we wanted to offer our collaboration. We would like to involve as many guys from Bear community as possible. 3200 guest, 9 days, 8 nights, 7 cities.

From Barcelona to Rome combining relax, sun and beach, culture, tourism and party. On board you can enjoy 2 swimming pools, gym, spa, Jacuzzi, sauna, ice skating rink, mini-golf, rock-climbing wall, full court basketball and volleyball track, a huge theater, casino, cabaret show, restaurants, etc. At noon, outdoor t-dances in the middle of the Mediterranean and by night the best theme parties.

Can you imagine a Bearcelona-On-Tour party, on an American cruise, without leaving Europe and paying in dollars? Who has never dreamed of a ship full of Bears and friends?".

Sitges is a small city in Spain not far from Barcelona and it's also where you'll find some hot Bearish men who make up the Bears Sitges Club. These gents just had a major event in September and by going to this page, you'll get to see a ton of pics as well as some video slide shows.

When is their next major event? From what I can tell from their webpage, it will be at the beginning of May 2008, an event they call International Bears Meeting BSC. There is no info about this event on their site as of yet, but I'll keep you posted when they update their pages. For now, go enjoy all those photos of cute Spanish Bearish men.

I received this interesting link from Perdido (website - blog - TubeBear profile) who sent me off to check out a Spanish masseur by the name of Max. Now Max is in the capital Madrid and he welcomes you to come and get a massage by him. Check out Max' blog page in order to contact him. However, if you need a little more proof of just what you'll be getting for your money, then check out his videos he's posted on YouTube. He goes by the nick Massidob. There's a few vids of him massaging some husky Bears.

In other - somewhat related not really related - news... I have been helping with the translation to Perdido's Bear Degeneration (website - TubeBear profile). Perdido has sent me #3 to translate and I haven't had the time to do it yet but I will... promise... so watch for the 3rd episode, and you can read all 13 episodes on his site if you can read Italian.

Hey now... what's this... Ursus Planet... that's like... a Spanish version of PlanetBears? Nope, not at all. Actually this is who they are. From their site: "Ursusplanet was created in 2003 in Sitges (Spain). Since then our main goal has been to humbly promote the Bear movement by organizing meetings, collaborating with other events and organizing parties".

Their next big event will be in September, from the 21st thru the 23rd, and if you ever wanted to visit a little slice of Spanish paradise, Sitges definitely looks like the area to visit (Wiki page).

In my email box, I received a little link from GianOrso (website) sending me off to here and here in YouTubeLand, and with these links, he writes "don't scream". This guy is huge in Bulgaria. His name is Azis and go here to see a ton of pictures of him. He's this Bearish guy who looks actually seriously handsome without the makeup but it looks like his thing is all about flamboyancy and he's working it to an art. His music makes me think of Spain, not Bulgaria.

Here's an interesting site. It's called GayMenGC ~ a site for guys in Gran Canaria (which sounds beautiful and warm and stuff since it's between Africa and Spain). And there's quite a bit of Bear mentioning which is really nice to see. Anyhow I just keep finding more and more Bear stuff coming from Europe, it's actually encouraging me to scrounge up some dough and backpack from Bear bed and breakfast to Bear bed and breakfast.

Sometimes you land on a site by chance, and this is what happened when I landed on the South Bear site, a group of men who gather in the wondrous place called Sevilla in Spain. How is it wondrous? Well, look at the gorgeous man called Reply (BearWWW profile), the cover Bear on their site - "Yes, I'd like to take 3 of those types of Bears to go, thanks"... I think we need to invent some kind of Bear 'Drive Thru' a la fast food style.

Anyhow, going back to Spain, I'm not sure exactly what events these fine South Bears have in store for its future as a club, but just check out the gallery from a prior event and I doubt they'll have a hard time figuring out how to get back together again.
