Below is a video that I made as a way of saying goodbye to a good friend of mine, Jacques Garon, better known as PandaMontreal online. You can see photos of Jacques here on PlanetBears as well as on his PictureTrail profile (password is panda - and I'm not sure how long those pictures will remain up since Jacques had to pay to keep his PictureTrail account), and Jacques also had a TubeBear profile where people are leaving their goodbye words to him.

Here's someone who's got all the right ingredients to being a Daddy Bear; he's good looking, debonair, he's thoughtful, has a nice sense of humour about him, witty while intelligent, modern while paying attention to traditional ways. His name is Richard and he's a husky Bear from Montreal. Check out his gallery here.

These pictures were taken back in January '07. Now there's the long version as to why I never added these pics and there's also the short version. So here's the mid-length version: I met Roger (website - gallery - profile) just shortly after taking these photos, and when you meet the man of your dreams, everything else is placed on the shelf. I was also working on a Valentine's themed movie (it was January and I had a couple of weeks to work on it), and Richard's in it as well as Jacques aka PandaMontreal (website - gallery - profile) and Friedrich (gallery)... I have all the film for it, it's just a question of editing it... anyhow, that got shelved as well.

Fast forward to today and I'm re-discovering all this material I have, so I'm trying to add as much of it as possible, all the while working on some newer material.

The following is from Jacques, aka PandaMontreal (homepage - PlanetBears gallery - TubeBear profile): "We have a new home for the UpBear Brunch in Montreal, Quebec, Canada: Hotel des Gouverneurs is 5 star restaurant and they agreed to give us a special of $19.95 instead of their regular $21.95 so we will be going there for a while We have our next brunch on January 27th.

Also, we are planning a 'Sugar Shack' outing for Sunday, March 30th which will be the 5th Anniversary of UpBear Brunch.  More details to follow".

Jacques - aka PandaMontreal - has sent in a nice slew of pictures of himself for Xmas 2007 as well as New Year 2008. The pictures were taken by his buddy Lupercus. Check them out here.

Jacques has been proven to be a true good friend for the past 4 years that I have known him and we have worked on many different types of photo shoots (as you can see from his PlanetBears' gallery) and Jacques has worked with many different photographers and you can see all his photo sets from his PictureTrail page (and there are thoughtful write-ups to all of his photo sets). He even worked with me on my little movie hobby known as ACTV (he's in Part X). The Montreal based UpBear bunch are having their Xmas get-together this upcoming December 16th at Café Européen on Ste-Catherine in the Gay Village. I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that Jacques aka PandaMontreal (gallery - website - TubeBear profile) will be Santa again this year... it's worth going just to see this handsome panda dressed up as Santa. You might even get to sit on his lap, if you've been good this year of course.

A very happy birthday is going out to GianOrso (website - TubeBear profile), the very well known Italian photographer who has taken some of the most beautiful pics of some of the most handsome Bearish men on this planet.

Now a good friend of his, Jacques, aka PandaMontreal (website - TubeBear profile - gallery) is very 'up' on anniversaries. For Jacques, birthdays are very important, so much so that he wrote a little ode to GianOrso for his birthday. I got a message the other day from my GodPapaBear PandaMontreal aka Jacques (website - TubeBear profile) telling me that NCBearTrap (Flickr page - TubeBear profile) had made a video slide show of Jacques using pics of him in the shower and in the bath - and some of the pics he used were from one of the photo shoots I had with Jacques (PlanetBears gallery). Looks like Jeff has made a few video slide shows - check out his YouTube page (also, NCBearTrap was one of our featured TubeBear Bears - more here).

Many many thanks to the burly men over at Bear-Buddies.com for transforming one of the pictures I took of Jacques one wintry day by adding one of their excellent Bear buddy characters to the image. 'I am what I am... I am my own specialcreation...' or so how the beginning of the song goes to this video (YouTube) from a Bear Fashion Show that was held during Montreal's Sugar Bear Weekend (which took place at the end of April).

I just have to say that this has got to be the best fashion show I've ever seen in my whole life... it might have a little to do with the fact that I'm just not a fan of fashion show with men weighing all of 70 pounds. if there were more shows like this Bear one, it just might turn me into a fashion hag... ok maybe not, but there are some seriously cute guys who did the catwalk. First off - happy 60th to Jacques, aka Panda (email - homepage). I've known Jacques for a few years now and he's always been a real good friend, and in this world, real good friends are far and few.

And what did the guys over at Bear-Buddies.com do for his birthday? They made him an excellent birthday buddy drawing equipped with champagne, a cake and a hard-on. Jacques looks great and the drawing looks great. Click here to enlarge image.

What a great concept ~ send in your pictures to Bear-Buddies.com and watch your photos come alive with some really wild looking Bear... buddies...

Jacques is a fine fellow and I'm glad he's part of my life, so much so that I tie him up every now and then, grab a camera, and try to find some interesting shots with him.
