Some news from Robert Harmon of 'Bound in Ink' (website - articles - profile). From Rob: "Bound in Ink isn't dead... I've just a lot going on. In July I moved to Charlotte, NC to be with my partner. I'm currently providing my animation and designer services on a freelance basis at my sister site Heavenly Dark Studios. In more Bound in Ink related news, I am in the process of working out this years 2009 collection.  The first show will be in April at Philadelphia. So as I get more things done I'll keep everyone posted. Currently there is a new time lapse video I posted for the piece 'Always Remember Them'. Oh and lastly 100% BEEF (website - articles - profile) featured me as one of there artists of the month in issue 40. So Bound in Ink is alive and well folks".

A bunch of news from Bear Omnimedia (website), the guys who bring you the new BEAR magazine (website - articles - profile) and ButchBear (website - articles - profile).

To start things off there is a New York BEAR Magazine Release Party (poster) on September 19th at the Eagle NYC. They will also be celebrating the release of several popular classic Bear movies on DVD, such as 'Palm Springs Vacation', 'Leather Bears at Play' and 'Big Bear Trucking Co.'. Jack Radcliffe will make an appearance that evening too. Following that, BEAR mag party will be going on tour (with the continued appearances of Jack Radcliffe) to the following areas: September 20th - a signing at Rainbows and Triangles Bookstore (Albany Bears event); September 21st - Philadelphia Woof event; September 22nd - Woof event in NYC. It's also a model search for the magazine as well. Their promoter, Max Scott, is organizing the event.

And don't miss this: Steven Wolfe (Editor) and Teddy will be on Sirius Satellite Radio on their OutQ program with Larry Flick on September 19th. They will be interviewed on the rebirth of BEAR Magazine and its future.

Robert Harmon aka JrBear of Bound in Ink (articles - TubeBear PRO profile) is informing us that his work will be displayed at an upcoming charity event for the Calcutta House. This will be taking place at The Bike Stop in Philadelphia, PA on April 17th. As well, Rob will be showing his new collection of drawings kick off this show. 20% of all the sales from the artists will be given to the Calcutta House.

The Liberty Bears of Philadelphia, PA are going to have their Bears on Liberty Weekend (this is their 6th) on May 8th thru the 11th. This year they will be joining forces with the Liberty Gay Rodeo Association which means they are planning a trip to the Liberty Stampede rodeo. Also, as one of their main events, Bearapalooza (TubeBear profile) will be playing on Friday night at the Loews Ballroom.

Robert Harmon of Bound in Ink has been pretty busy since the last time we spoke about him (article here - TubeBear personal profile ~ PRO profile). Recently he did a show in Albany, NY for the Albany Bears and currently he is working on a 20-25 new piece for the upcoming art show in Philadelphia with the Liberty Bears and his exhibit will be taking place from April 17th thru the 19th. It's his 3rd year participating in this fundraiser.

Bears on the Run was a huge success and this year they are now tackling the East coast. The tour lineup will be including: Bobaloo, Elijah Black, Shannon Grady, Kendall, and Matthew Temple. The towns they will hitting are Toronto, Buffalo, Albany, Provincetown, Boston, Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York City.
