UpBear will be getting together for a spaghetti supper over at the Woof Bar & Bistro which is located at 1661 Ste Catherine street in the center of the Gay Village in Montreal. This is going to be their 2nd time doing this and from what I heard, the 1st time they did this there was a good turnout and the food was excellent. My partner Roger (gallery - profile) and I (Forrest - profile) are planning on being there so if you want to drop by and say hello, do not be shy.

UpBear is a group created by Jean (JBearWoof - profile) with assistance from Jacques (PandaMontreal - gallery - profile) and Woof is owned by Paul (Quebecois - profile).

Jacques, aka PandaMontreal (galleries - profile) sent in this portrait of him that the cartoonist Bruin drew. I think this is the first portrait done by Bruin (altho I could be mistaken). The resemblance is uncanny, don't you think...? Actually, I think it's the cutest thing since sticky honey on a chest full of fur.

This gives me the opportunity to remind everyone that today being Monday is also the day that Bruin (profile - articles) updates his Bear With Me series. Andy's mom and son relationship is looking seriously rocky. Make sure to tune in.

[PlanetBears members - click here] It's funny how life is... I hadn't seen Jacques aka PandaMontreal (galleries - profile) for over a year and a half, and in the past month I've seen him 3 times. It's mostly my fault for not getting together... I've been doing that whole 'love' thing with Roger (galleries - profile).

Anyhow, the last time I saw Jacques he handed me a bunch of CDs with photos of himself, some I posted in my last update (here) and some I'm posting today. This set Panda calls it his Sexcapades... it's all about him surrounded by his myriad of teddybears, him checking out guys in Uniform magazine and in a 'jerk off' session.

[Members ~ click here and here] Jacques aka PandaMontreal has been kind enough to share with a bunch of pics that were never posted here on PlanetBears. He sent in so many that I'm going to divide these updates, this being the 1st one (click here to see all of his photo sets in the PlanetBears' Galleries section - click here to see his TubeBear profile).

In this update, there's 2 sets. The 1st set Jacques calls it his 'Black & White' set; pics of him on a black chair in a white setting. At the end, I added some photos from his 'Dreamland' series; photos of him in bed surrounded by his collection of teddybears.

In the 2nd set, you get to marvel at the magical work of GianOrso (gallery - profile). the Italian GianOrso is truly a master photographer, and in my opinion he has taken some of the best photos ever of Bearish men found anywhere in this universe. Well GianOrso came to visit Canada a few years back and Jacques was fortunate enough to have a photo session with him. As a bonus, there's a bunch of 'behind the scenes' photos in which you get to see GianOrso photographing Panda.

In the next update, which will be in a couple of days, we will be posting Jacques' 'Sex-capade' set - a hot little jerk-off solo session.

The ever so cute and cuddly Jacques aka PandaMontreal (website - gallery - profile) was at the pride parade in Montreal which took place a week ago or so, and he sent in a slew of pics. Click here to view them, and make sure to send him a big thank you. Panda is one of the coolest guy's in the universe, hands down. I just visited his house, and he has 1316 teddy bears lined up all over his bedroom wall. It's one of those 'you have to see it to believe it'.

There is a lot to do this Labour Day weekend in Montréal. Even tho all of these events are unrelated (meaning: none of them are endorsing the other), if you plan on coming into town this weekend, there's a lot of great Bear events to attend.

First there is 'Monsieur Bear Montréal' which will be taking place at the Woof Bar that is run by Paul (website - articles - profile). This is happening on Saturday night - August 30th, and I (Forrest) will be there livestreaming for TubeBear. Also ~ Roger (galleries - profile) has decided to become a contestant, so make sure to come and root for him huge.

Then on Sunday, August 31st, join up with the UpBear bunch (website - articles) for their morning brunch. They will be meeting up at the Restaurant Palais Montcalm. UpBear is maintained by JF (JBearWoof) and Jacques (PandaMontreal).

Later on, check out Bear Crusader (website - articles) as they are playing at the bar 'La Place à Côté'. Check out their YouTube page and MySpace page. Bear Crusader consists of Steve (MTLScream) and Sylvain (MusiBear).

Here's someone who's got all the right ingredients to being a Daddy Bear; he's good looking, debonair, he's thoughtful, has a nice sense of humour about him, witty while intelligent, modern while paying attention to traditional ways. His name is Richard and he's a husky Bear from Montreal. Check out his gallery here.

These pictures were taken back in January '07. Now there's the long version as to why I never added these pics and there's also the short version. So here's the mid-length version: I met Roger (website - gallery - profile) just shortly after taking these photos, and when you meet the man of your dreams, everything else is placed on the shelf. I was also working on a Valentine's themed movie (it was January and I had a couple of weeks to work on it), and Richard's in it as well as Jacques aka PandaMontreal (website - gallery - profile) and Friedrich (gallery)... I have all the film for it, it's just a question of editing it... anyhow, that got shelved as well.

Fast forward to today and I'm re-discovering all this material I have, so I'm trying to add as much of it as possible, all the while working on some newer material.

The UpBear gents who get together for their monthly brunch in Montreal are celebrating their 5th year anniversary and they are doing it in style. They will be getting together for a sugaring off old fashion style. They are going to Érablière St-Henri in Ste-Marthe, QC. The place is rustic looking with a friendly staff, known for its good food and its maple products. The date is Sunday, March 30th and tickets are $25 which covers the meal and possibly a horse-drawn sleigh ride. For transportation, check the discussion boards from their Upbear site (in the 'Babillard' section - their 'blackboard'). The following is from Jacques, aka PandaMontreal (homepage - PlanetBears gallery - TubeBear profile): "We have a new home for the UpBear Brunch in Montreal, Quebec, Canada: Hotel des Gouverneurs is 5 star restaurant and they agreed to give us a special of $19.95 instead of their regular $21.95 so we will be going there for a while We have our next brunch on January 27th.

Also, we are planning a 'Sugar Shack' outing for Sunday, March 30th which will be the 5th Anniversary of UpBear Brunch.  More details to follow".

He even worked with me on my little movie hobby known as ACTV (he's in Part X). The Montreal based UpBear bunch are having their Xmas get-together this upcoming December 16th at Café Européen on Ste-Catherine in the Gay Village. I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that Jacques aka PandaMontreal (gallery - website - TubeBear profile) will be Santa again this year... it's worth going just to see this handsome panda dressed up as Santa. You might even get to sit on his lap, if you've been good this year of course.

A very happy birthday is going out to GianOrso (website - TubeBear profile), the very well known Italian photographer who has taken some of the most beautiful pics of some of the most handsome Bearish men on this planet.

Now a good friend of his, Jacques, aka PandaMontreal (website - TubeBear profile - gallery) is very 'up' on anniversaries. For Jacques, birthdays are very important, so much so that he wrote a little ode to GianOrso for his birthday. Here are some photos of Daniel & Jacques taken by Eric (gallery). I was there for most of the picture taking since we were all working on my little movie. Jacques, aka PandaMontreal (gallery ~ TubeBear profile), is a favourite around here and him and I have worked on quite a photoshoots, many of them holiday season themed. Daniel is a friend of Eric's who's cute and quiet and I have some more pics of him which I will add at a later date.

I got a message the other day from my GodPapaBear PandaMontreal aka Jacques (website - TubeBear profile) telling me that NCBearTrap (Flickr page - TubeBear profile) had made a video slide show of Jacques using pics of him in the shower and in the bath - and some of the pics he used were from one of the photo shoots I had with Jacques (PlanetBears gallery). Join the Événours group in Montreal, Quebec for an afternoon filled with fun as they hit Saint Helen's Island for a picnic on August 25th. There is a bbq planned, pool time, and they will be visiting Expo '67 on a little train ride.

Make it a weekend with Bears and join the UpBear gang (run by JBearWoof - TubeBear profile - and with help from PandaMontreal - TubeBear profile) for their monthly brunch at Le Café Européen on August 26th. These 2 events are not associated, I'm just listing some things to do in Montreal this upcoming weekend.

Many many thanks to the burly men over at Bear-Buddies.com for transforming one of the pictures I took of Jacques one wintry day by adding one of their excellent Bear buddy characters to the image. 'I am what I am... I am my own specialcreation...' or so how the beginning of the song goes to this video (YouTube) from a Bear Fashion Show that was held during Montreal's Sugar Bear Weekend (which took place at the end of April).

I just have to say that this has got to be the best fashion show I've ever seen in my whole life... it might have a little to do with the fact that I'm just not a fan of fashion show with men weighing all of 70 pounds. if there were more shows like this Bear one, it just might turn me into a fashion hag... ok maybe not, but there are some seriously cute guys who did the catwalk.
