There's a couple of CNN stories (video - article) about this handsome Bearish Egyptian real estate tycoon who is up for trial for the murder of a Lebanese pop star. His name is Hisham Talaat Moustafa (photo) and the claim is that he hired an ex-cop to kill singer Suzanne Tamim. Why? Because she said no to his marriage proposal. Hisham is already married with 3 kids however polygamy is legal in Egypt. Suzanne had other plans and was going to marry a box kicker, so the authorities are claiming this murder as a 'means to revenge'. If convicted, he could be sentenced to death. Both Hisham and the ex-cop claim they are innocent and that this case could take around 7 months before coming to a verdict.

As as aside - this guy is a billionaire. He could have any woman, I'm sure. It'll be interesting to see what kind of evidence they come up with.

Bear Arabia is organizing their 'goodbye to summer' party which will be taking place from October 8th thru the 12th in Beirut. They prior events were hugely successful so they decided to organize this 2nd Bear Arabia International Weekend. This time, the event is going to be divided into 2 countries, so not only will you be visiting Lebanon but Syria as well.

This young energetic group has only been around for 2 years, and even during all the tension with Israel and the bombings, they went ahead and formed what is now known as the Lebanon Bears. They have been collecting donations to help support 450 kids in need around their country. Once there was some peace in Lebanon, they launched their 1st Bear Arabia weekend and it was a success, and they are expecting nothing less with their upcoming run.

There's some old legend that Bears once roamed this planet in the company of Wolves - great looking husky Bears mingling with somewhat leaner, somewhat starker and darker Wolves - the 2 wild beasts glaring at each other as dusk arrives. And this legend comes true every night over at the Wolf Bars. There's a Wolf Bar in Paris (France - website here) and there's another in Beirut (Lebanon - website here).
