This is a friendly reminder to all that you need to check out the Bear Amateur Galleries every now then that are within the PlanetBears Galleries. I don't always make note about all the additions (altho I should).

The latest updates have been going into Amateur Gallery #6, with new photos sent in by Virgo Dave (profile), Beer Belly Bear and Heiko (profile).

Now if you have some photos of yourself and you think you're a cute lil' Bear, then send them in (either email or send one via the contact form simply to get in touch with me), and in exchange I will give you a membership to PlanetBears. There are around 22,000+ photos in the Galleries and the Video section continues to grow as well.

Here's a new PlanetBears Amateur Gallery update for ya. This time, it's more of a Chub Bear update, as the 15 new models are all just a bit more huskier than your average Joe. More to cuddle is how one could look at it. You'll find these photos in the Amateur #6 section within the Galleries. In all, there's over 300 new pics. And a small side note, one of the models is Mikey and it's Eric Z (gallery - profile) who took these photos of him one afternoon and decided to share.

As I mentioned in the article above, I've moved over all of the BearPress and Bear-Pics Amateur Galleries over to the PlanetBears Galleries. However, there was one that gallery I didn't add. It's not like I forgot it, it's just that... well... it consisted of only 1 photo, this one, of the incredibly cuddly, furry, puppy-eyed Mark.

Now if you check out the BearPress galleries, you'll remark that the smallest galleries have at least 3 photos in them (remember... these photos were sent at a time before scanners and digital cameras were common toys men had at their disposal). And as I mentioned before in another article, the real reason why I put these BearPress galleries up is because they are meaningful (to me).

However, this one picture of Mark is probably the most meaningful of all (to me) because this was the very first picture someone sent to me for my 'then' non-existent Amateur Galleries. I had made a call in the news asking guys to send me in their photos, and Mark sent me just 1, but it was the one that started things off for me. This was before I was photographing men and had any material of my own, so... as you can see... it's got meaning quite a bit of meaning to me... and darn, Mark's just so frikkin' cute...! Too bad he didn't send me 3 dozen photos. I just thought I'd share that with ya.

The Bear Amateur Galleries have been filling up quite nicely lately, however you just might not have noticed since all of this is happening in the Gallery section. I have been working hard at filling those areas up. The past few weeks, I've added over 3000 photos from exactly 100 different cute Bears who, at one point or another, have sent me their photos, some of them dating back as far as '99. Also, ever since I reopened the Bear Amateur Galleries, I've been receiving a lot of new sets as well and I have more to add. [Click Here] You know, there are some really hot looking men in this world and I thank our blue and green planet Mother Earth for that fact every day. That being said... I'm really honoured to present to you Scott. I have seen pics of Scott on the net for some time now (especially those of him next to his motorcycle), and have been a fan of his ever since my eyes came across his photos. I didn't know who he was back then, but then I landed upon his homepage.

Now here is one truly interesting Bear: he's a paramedic and he's right now working for a company in Afghanistan until the summer of '09. If you check out his homepage, you'll see some beautiful shots of where he's staying as well as some truly gross pictures of dead insurgents. Not that I'm a wuss or anything, I just decided not to place my attention on the results of war... instead I  focused my attention on Scott's incredible Bearish body. I also read his bio which is a really interesting read. He's open and honest; quality traits I appreciate in a man.

Scott gave me the permission to add his photos to the PlanetBears Galleries. Simply put, he's a Bear deity (heck, I'd worship him by sacrificing a few twinks). Seriously, he's got a body that doesn't stop and these wild green/blue/hazel coloured eyes that melt you like butter all the while burning a lasting impression onto your soul. I've been gawking at the 200+ pics that I added, and all I could think of is that I hope one day I might able to meet with Scott and work on a photo shoot together. He's got a body that I think my camera would love.

Some websites are very generate, like the site Butch Dixon. This attractive British webpage has been sending us free pics to share, so we're sharing right along side with them. This time they sent us some pics of this really cute Bear Cub by the name of Mike who's hanging out in the office. Check out those pics here (and click here to see pics and a video that Butch Dixon sent us last time).

There's a new search engine, built by ex-Google workers. It's called Cuil (pronounced Cool). From this CNN article: "For starters, Cuil's search index spans 120 billion webpages... at least three times the size of Google's index, although there is no way to know for certain. Google stopped publicly quantifying its index's breadth nearly three years ago when the catalog spanned 8.2 billion webpages.

Cuil's results will be presented in a more magazine-like format instead of just a vertical stack of Web links. Cuil's results are displayed with more photos spread horizontally across the page and include sidebars that can be clicked on to learn more about topics related to the original search request".

So of course I went to check it out. I tried 'Gay Bear'. TubeBear showed up but with a picture of Marilyn Manson (?). Then BearWWW showed up with a 'TubeBear Profiles' picture accompanying it (??)... also the 'TubeBear Profiles' picture showed up with alongside many other search results. Very odd indeed.

I tried a couple of more searches. It was slow to process and some of the images came back broken. They just opened up the site today so I gather they are ironing out the bugs. It 'look's cool, but will Cuil be able to even put a small dent in Google's monopoly...? It remains to be seen.
