Puppy Conference Share, RSS
Thursday, April 10, 2008

I'm going to be honest and say that the only real reason why I am posting this event is because I kinda fell in love with their logo, especially when Puppy training has nothing to do with the Bear culture. So yes, I might be shallow or easily persuaded when I see cute paws, nevertheless here's an article about the upcoming International Puppy & Trainer Conference (IPTC) which will be taking place in Dallas, TX from September 26th thru the 28th. From IPTC: "Whether you are a Puppy, a Trainer or just curious about the lifestyle, we encourage you to join us at The Sterling Hotel for the IPTC and Pup Out! This weekend will include classes specifically designed for pups and trainers as well as a panel discussion with pups and a trainer to field questions and topics. All pups need play time, so there will be three scheduled mosh pit times available for all those pups who want to really get into head space and have fun with other pups".

All I can add here is... woof...?

TubeBear Live Broadcasting Share, RSS
Wednesday, March 26, 2008

Here's a follow up from the live broadcast show that we featured here on TubeBear over the weekend. The show involved Nard (TubeBear profile) of BearPodCast, along with his buddy Ray aka HouBearDad (TubeBear profile). They were doing their show live from Texas Bear Round Up ~ click here to listen to that podcast. Well we were able to stream half of the show but the hotel in which they were staying was having major packet loss - which means the hotel kept losing the connection, so about midway we were no longer able to broadcast. Nevertheless, we are hoping to do this again in May with BearWatch (article) which will be taking place in Galveston, TX from May 16th thru the 18th. Nard is going to try and broadcast again, so let's hope there won't be any packet losses from their host hotel.

Also - if you have an event and you would like to broadcast, then make sure to contact us. We can help you set up your own live feed from your event, and what's even greater is that we can have it set up from your website as well. So not only will you be broadcasting from TubeBear but you will also be streaming from your homepage. Sounds like fun? Email us or use the contact form, tell us about your event, when and where, and we will do our best to hook you up.

It's a long title for this article but that's because there's a lot of stuff happening. Here's the lowdown: 1st off - Cirque Des Soleil (Circus of the Bears) is happening this upcoming weekend and it's this year's theme for the Texas Bear Round Up. This event is hosted by the Dallas Bears and it all takes place in Dallas, TX from March 20th thru the 23rd.

2ndly - Nard (TubeBear profile) of BearPodCast, along with his buddy Ray aka HouBearDad (TubeBear profile) - are going to do their podcast show at the event. This time, they are going live, which brings me to number 3.

3rdly - yes... live... this is going to be the 1st time that a Bear event will be broadcasted live on the net. Last week Nard, Ray and TubeBear did some tests and the results were positive (save a few audio glitches). It was so succesful that Nard posted the show (BearPodCast 191).

which brings me #4:

4thly - if you have a Bear event and you wish to broadcast some of it live, then we can do this on TubeBear. What's great is that not only do we broadcast here in on our site, but we can also set it up and broadcast it on your site as well, at the same time... live. This is great - it's a simple yet new technology and TubeBear is officially the 1st Bear site to offer this. So contact us (email - form) and let us know about your event and we will start setting things up in order to have your run presented live on the net.

There's new pics to be seen over at ButchBear.com as their newest featured model is Ross Taylor who epitomizes fur, tan, muscles and Daddy. And you can also see Ross Taylor in Butch Bear's latest DVD Tap Out (full cover image here). Here's a description they sent in: "Based on the wrestling entertainment industry, masculine muscle mayhem rules as the men of Muscle Wrestling Entertainment (MWE) thrill a crowd of horny, cigar-smoking tough customers who cheer for these modern-day gladiators in no-holds-barred matches. 'Tap Out' to survive and submit to the aggressive sexual will of the winner. Tap in to the behind-the- scenes, crusty, hard-body action of the MWE, as a shady promoter takes and gets what he deserves".

There are also planning release parties for 'Tap Out' around the country in major cities beginning at the Eagle in June 30th in Los Angeles, CA. Other release parties will happen in NYC, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Dallas, Seattle and Provincetown throughout the summer.

Meet Harry & Tommy, 2 self-acclaiming 'fat Bears'. Their mission? To lose weight by better living so as to look hot for an upcoming cruise to Alaska. Follow their culinary adventures by visiting their site and grabbing their podcasts and watching their videos... and make sure to root for them all the while.

From their site: "We are a gay couple, in the Dallas, TX, suburb of Denton, who self-identify as a Bear and Cub. Like many married couples, our weight has risen significantly in the 14 years we've been together. We have previously succeeded in losing weight together. However, because Tommy struggles with exercise while Harry struggles with dietary restrictions, we haven't been able to keep the weight off. This is our latest attempt with specific goals as well as the idea of being accountable to a viewing audience.

Subscribe to our podcast and check our progress each week leading up the cruise along with a slew of other helpful dietary and lifestyle tips. Each episode will include a 'weigh-in' so you'll be able to see how well we are doing on the plan". Thanks to BearPodCast for the link.

This is the 3rd edition of Live from Texas Bear Round Up. In this show, their guest is ShelbyCub. From the site: "Michael and I did an in-studio recording. We just came from watching Cirque du Soleil - Corteo. It was awesome! More TBRU audio! This time, we have William on board. We had a few discussions on movies (The Pursuit of Happyness, The Last Mimzy, The Hills Have Eyes II). This proves that not everyone has watched Showgirls. And that's the end of that".

The Dallas Bears are gearing up for their upcoming Texas Bear Round Up. From their site: "I can't believe it's TBRU time again! It seems like it was yesterday that I was watching hundreds of you file through the halls of the Crowne Plaza here in Dallas. This year Texas Bear Round Up is going on lock down! Don't be nervous; you'll be surrounded by 100s of hot men who'll take good care of you. Every Spring, we all get together for a good time, cold beer and hot guys. But we also help some very worthwhile organizations, thanks to your support! This year, TBRU is sponsoring three non-profit organizations - AIDS Interfaith Network, AIDS Services of Dallas and Youth First Texas. Texas Bear Round Up 12 will be held from March 22nd through March 25th. The official events don't begin until Thursday night, but don't let that keep you from coming in a few days early to enjoy all that the Dallas area has to offer".
