[This is a reprise of an article written on July 4th]: PlanetBears needs a new logo as well as banners. It's very simple - just make something incredible - you have 720x90 pixels (example) to play with for the banner and 250x250 pixels (example) for the logo. It must be in either .JPG, .GIF or .SWF (Flash) format.

This is a contest so the winner will get $100 as well as a lifetime membership to the PlanetBears Gallery and Video section. However ~ all those who send something in will get a year membership to the site, so just by participating you're going to win something (note: your work needs to be approved first).

This contest will run until the middle of August 2008. Send all entries via email or use the contact form. You can apply as many times as you like.

I am going to look for some sponsors as well so maybe I'll be able to give away some DVDs too. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate (or the legal age within your district).

As for the banners, if you want to make it a bit sexier, you can use any of the photos that I've chosen here for this contest.

This is very simple - make me a banner for PlanetBears and you can win stuff. The winner will get a lifetime membership to the site including $100 and all those who participate are guaranteed a membership to the site for 1 year as long as I use your banner.

What you need to do is: create a banner - it has to be either 720x90 pixels or 250x250 pixels. I am also looking for a new logo for PlanetBears. You can make it in either .jpg, .gif or Flash .swf.

Also, you can use any of the photos I have attached here. Actually, those pics are kind of like a preview to the PlanetBears Galleries page, however you can use any or all of those photos in order to make a good looking banner. You cannot use any other photos (like a picture of your boyfriend or some hot photo you found online) and you don't need to use any photo at all ~ it's up to you ~ just make me a great looking banner and/or logo.

The winner will be determined by vote. I will place all the banners online and let guys vote on them.

I will put up more details about this contest as I work out the prizes (I will try to get some sponsors to send me some DVDs)... but the contest begins today - June 26th... and it will run right thru until August 1st, so it gives everyone a month to hand in their stuff.

You can either email your entry, use the contact form, or contact me (Forrest) via my profile.

You can make as many banners as you like.

You must be 18 years and older to participate.

The other day I asked you 'Who Is This...?' and the clue I gave was that he's a Mexican director. It's Guillermo del Toro (Wiki page - fansite). He has a new movie coming out called Pan's Labyrinth (Wiki page -  official site) and it's getting great reviews from all over the globe.

So you guys emailed in your answers and everyone who did got the answer right, however, Shane has issues with Guillermo's hair. He wrote "that Bear is Guillermo del Toro, the director of the movie Pan's Labyrinth. I don't really know much about him, but he does look kinda cute. I think he'll look better if he shave his hair really short. For some reason, I don't really like guys to have curly hair".

There you have it - he's cute but shave that mop! However, the one who won this contest is TkTcUb, so congrats, you just won a month membership to the site.

It's time to play 'Who Is This...?' once again. Last time you guys easily guessed it was Al 'Scarface' Capone... now let's see if you can guess who this is just as easily.

He's a director and one of his movie's is going to be released worldwide very soon. Another hint is that this film has already been chosen as Mexico's e entry for Best Foreign Language Film at the 79th Academy Awards.

If you know who it is, then email me the answer or use the comment form. I will choose a winner who will get a month membership to this site (which means you have to be 21 years of age or older to play). If you like, post a few words along about what you think about the director... it's always fun to read that.

ps - a little reminder - the men I choose for the 'Who Is This...?' contest is usually someone well known and it has nothing to do with what their sexual orientation is. I have no clue about people's sexual preference, nor do I care... I just choose men I think are cute and sexy, simple.

Ok, punk... take one more step and I'm gonna slap some cement shoes on ya... that's right, pal, because I am Al Capone, the meanest and best looking gangster Chicago has ever seen... period.

A few days back, I asked you guys - 'Who is This...?' and I got quite a few responses, all of them right except one (someone said Son of Sam).

I also mentioned that I have this thing for thugs, since so many thugs are Bear-like (think Bluto of Popeye). Mike wrote in and said "I do find him to be sexy but would have probably avoided him", which was probably the right thing to do, considering his reputation. However Michael (another Mike, not the same) didn't seem to be worried that Al Capone was a notorious gangster because he wrote "I would have sucked his toes for hours and worked my way up. I have a feeling he would have really enjoyed it too. And I would have had to keep his secret. Kinda hot to share something like that with a thug, touch him in a secret place, a secret way that most men would find very private, even embarrassing". I'm sure Al Capone had sexy feet but I doubt any man sucked on them and lived to tell, let alone touch him in that 'secret' place... but you never know, I'm really bad when it comes to gaydar-ing someone (or Beardar-ing in this case). Al might have been into men but we'll never know cause he's been dead for many a moon now.

Getting back to the contest, the winner of this 'Who Is This...?' contest is Jason. Jason won himself a membership to PlanetBears for a month, so congrats and enjoy the site because the men on PlanetBears might not be gangsters but they are very handsome - even moreso than Al 'Scarface' Capone.

It's time to tell me - 'Who is This...?'. Take a good look at this black and white photo of a man who's in his late 20s or early 30s when it was taken. He was in his prime then... only to die very miserably at the young young age of 48.

If you know who it is... then email me (or use the comment page) and you run the chance of winning a membership to the site (only those 21 years of age and older may submit, thanks). And if you already have a membership to this site and you win, well I will buy you a membership to any other site that you've wanted to visit. In either case, all you have to do is tell me the name of this guy... or be interesting and write a few words about the guy if you have anything to share. Do you find him cute... do you dare to find someone cute who could be a very dangerous person...? You tell me.
