"The revival of BEAR Magazine (website - profile) is upon us! Come down to the Eagle LA (website) on August 29th to celebrate the rebirth, along with the release of 3 classic Jack Radcliffe movies on DVD for the first time ever! Those movies are: 'Palm Springs Vacation', 'Leather Bears at Play' and 'Big Bear Trucking Co'. Not only will participants receive a free issue of the new issue #65 and a BEAR bumper sticker (while supplies last), the man himself Jack Radcliffe will be available to sign copies and photos! This is a rare opportunity since Jack Radcliffe has been formally retired from the adult industry for the past several years! BEAR movies and gifts will also be raffled off to lucky winners!".

The brand new BEAR magazine is out...! (website - articles - profile). And check out who is on the front cover... why it's Jack Radcliffe who came out of retirement for this occasion (Jack is also on the back cover of this mag). This rag is packed with 64 pages and most of them have full covered images of some really Bearish men. There is a lot less talk and a lot more man, altho there are a few good articles sprinkled about, just enough to sharpen your reading skills.
But... wait... on the cover... it says... episode #65... what the...? Ok, it's a long story... best you check out the interview for all the inside scoop about this, however, it is summed up on their profile as well: "Remember when issue No. 64 came out in 2001? Shortly thereafter it's then publisher got into financial trouble and sank like the Titanic, taking BEAR with it. We all thought it was the end of that, but good things usually don't stay hidden forever. As a creditor of the former publisher, it took us going to court and ultimately granted compensation by being given the former publisher's copyrights to be able to become the new publisher, and bring No. 65 to life 7 years later. DAMN!
Since coming to us, BEAR has undergone the most dramatic metamorphosis of its history with a new look and a new direction to reflect the many levels of an emerging contemporary, mature, masculine community. The result is a crisp, modern look with fresh editorial content featuring hot erotic photography and provocative fiction, blended with humor and informative articles. And having Jack Radcliffe (aka Frank Martini) on the cover definitely was that extra touch to link the past and present together. He still is THE bear god of BEAR Magazine, fur sure".

There's always something new to check out in our VOD section (Video on Demand). The latest movie added is Bounty Hunter by ButchBear (profile): "You can run, but you can't hide from this big-dicked 'Bounty Hunter' - and he's no Dog. Arpad Miklos leads a hairy, big-muscled cast in a sinful caper of passion, betrayal and greed. When a gang of thieves, led by a mysterious mastermind, heists a cool mil, the Bounty Hunter is on the job and ready for action. While prowling the criminal underworld to catch a thief, collect his reward and satisfy a larger-than-life lust, the Bounty Hunter gives, and gets, his just desserts: an orgasmic slice of carnal man-pie topped with a delicious dollop of surprise".

It was a couple of weeks ago that PlanetBears held an interview with the guys who are bringing back BEAR magazine (article here - interview here). They are part of the Bear Omni Media group that have been branching out in different areas. The following should explain it all:
"House Of Leather (cover) is the first title to be released by Back Rooms Films as part of Bear Omni Media group that includes ButchBear.com and BEAR. For several years Butch Bear has been famous for its videos and calendars that feature muscular men with plenty of body hair. The BEAR name was just re-launched by Bear Omni Media with a new line of videos and magazines for the bear market. Back Room Films joins this line up by focusing on men in leather.
Tober Brandt has established himself as one of the hottest performers this decade with appearances in several top videos from TitanMedia and Raging Stallion Studios. Back Room Films choice of Tober in their first release demonstrates his on screen appeal is strong with fans of gay porn around the world".

Here at TubeBear, we're doing our best to figuring out on how to maximize your Bearish video experience while you are on the net. We are now offering Video on Demand (VOD). The company we are working with is the well known PPVNetwork who have been around for a very long time, however we are one of the very 1st websites they created a customized webspace for, so our VOD page is looking super snazzy.
The VOD is a pay section - part of it goes to PPVNetwork and part of it goes to TubeBear. The selection of videos is excellent and expansive, with movies from BearFilms (articles), ButchBear (articles), CyberBears (articles), XXXL Productions, to name a few.
They are offering 'superior streaming' - probably the best Flash player available. They have spent over a year in developing it. It's intelligent, in that it chooses the correct bit rate to send (out of 5 possible speeds), and it also has DRM/copy-protection.
And lastly, here on TubeBear we will be offering a ton of previews for you, so you can always take a look at the good before buying.
Check out the new customized TubeBear Video on Demand section at vod.tubebear.com. It's filled with tons of great looking Bearish and Chubby guys.

There's a new magazine coming out... but it's name is one we all know and love. It's called BEAR magazine and PlanetBears was lucky enough to conduct an interview with the guys who are behind this hot new rag.
Check out the interview here.
Now way back in August 2007, PlanetBears mentioned about the resurgence of 'BEAR Magazine' (article here). At the time of that posting, there was very little known about the mag aside that it was being published by the same guys who give you 'Muscle + Fur = Butch Bear'.
Now for those of you who don't know ~ BEAR Magazine has been considered an important chapter within the history of Bear culture as it was the 1st magazine to truly celebrate the Bearish man. Its roots stem from 1984 as it was initially a flyer created by Richard Bulger in San Francisco who, over time, turned the mag into an internationally known symbol that became one of the staples to recognizing Bear culture, the community and what a Bear man looks like as well as what a Bear man represents. Richard then sold the company 'Brush Creek Media' to Bear-Dog Hoffman who, to make a long story short, ran the business into the ground. Brush Creek went out of business and the last issue of BEAR Mag was sent around the summer of 2001 (more about BEAR Magazine here on Wikipedia).
Ok, so what happened... near the end of BEAR Mag's reign, a lot of people were taken for a ride; models and photographers were not paid; advertisers who bought prepaid spots in their magazine lost their money, and of course; all those who had a subscription... nobody was refunded. Kicker to all this? The Brush Creek website still exists to this day and is still selling stuff. Now I am not going to link it here simply because I don't want someone who is not reading this article and is simply clicking the pretty links to go to that webpage and then decides to buy something since they will be spending their money on things that do not exist.
Once BEAR mag went belly up, there was a lot of online talk about it, especially in the now defunct 'Bear's Mailing List'. However, like all things, the 'BEAR mag buzz' simply buzzed out and nobody cared about the issue any more.
Now fast forward to 2007 and there's a few leaks about BEAR coming back. Since then, the buzz has started all over again - both off and online - however it's mostly been gossip since nobody really knows anything about the new BEAR.
Well I was fortunate enough to get a hold of the guys who are manufacturing the new BEAR mag and they were more than cool to conduct an interview with me. Read the interview here ~ it'll definitely clarify any misconceptions you might have had and it will also enlighten you to this new BEAR mag era which is just upon us.
So... does this new mag interest you? Guess what... they are giving the 1st issue to you free. How? Head on over to bear-magazine.com (you simply pay the postage).
Is the world ready for a new BEAR Mag? I'm more than positive it is. Will it live it up to its name? Time will only tell however the Butch Bear material has always been A level material so I'm also positive that the new BEAR mag experience will simply be better.

"Not many know the name
Bear Omnimedia
, though ask most any guy who loves masculine men with body hair and they'll recognize the name
ButchBear
. Bear Omnimedia is actually the parent company of Butch Bear®, BEAR® and Backroom Films®. These three studios make up the bulk of what Bear Omnimedia stands for: hyper-masculine, iconic men!
Butch Bear began around 2001, a few months prior to 9/11, and has grown to be a popular source for muscular men with hair. With its yearly calendar and increasing video line, it now meets that demand all around the world.
BEAR, a trademarked name, was added last fall and will present a broader range of hairy men with new videos (Cabin Fever is a new release which
came out a few months ago) and a soon-to-be-added library of classic bear films. A new 'BEAR Magazine' has also been in the works and will be unveiled later this summer.
Backroom Films is a new studio that focuses more on leather themes and those that are considered too edgy for the other brands. The first in this video line will be premiered at IML Chicago 2008 called 'House of Leather.
The websites for BEAR and Backroom Films are currently in-work".

Awhile back in August, we mentioned about the new 'BEAR' that was being presented by Bear Omni Media and Butch Bear (articles here and here). Well it looks like Bear has released their very 1st movie. It's entitled Cabin Fever. Here's a description from them: "Our brother brand, BEAR, has just released the new movie Cabin Fever, which features some of the hottest beef and muscle around! Heeding the call of the wild, an earthy crew packs up their flannel and heads to an alpine resort to hunt bear. With the help of Rangers Rick and Steve, what they find are forests of passion and geysers of release that burn like a wildfire, move mountains and ultimately make animals of men. Starring: Marcus Troy, Josh West, Butch Grand, Michael Scott, and introducing Jeff Wells, Marc Angelo and Jack Bridger".

Awhile back, I mentioned about a certain hot, hairy, muscular and very fit Bear by the name of Ross Taylor. Ross is one of the featured models in ButchBear's latest DVD called Tap Out. Well I recently caught wind that Ross has his own site called Works Best Naked, and if you like your Bears with all kinds of abs and fur accompanied with a smile that will melt butter, then check out his page.
Now Ross Taylor is the kind of guy you see at the gym and you find yourself staring at a lot, all the while hoping that he just glances your way, just once. He's the kind of man that leaves a lasting impression on you as you go home thinking about him, working out a myriad of scenarios on how to approach him the next time you see at the gym, even if it's just for a cup of coffee. However, after reading his blog, you'll realize that Ross is a very down to earth guy... just that he is a Colt Studio and ButchBear model kind of down to earth guy. Check out his site for some pics and to see what videos he's starred in, even brave an email letting him know how handsome you think he is.

Get ready for a whole new Bear experience. It is going to be simply called 'BEAR Magazine', a yet to be released international magazine presented by Bear Omni Media.
There is very little mentioned about this new rag on their page but I'm expecting something hot and very professional if they are associated with ButchBear, yet this is only stipulation since I really don't know much about this new rag. What I do is that they are compiling a list of businesses that would be a great match for their new magazine, so if you're interested in advertising your business, then contact them and they will send you a digital copy of their advertising packet.

There's a new model over at ButchBear and his name is Matthew Ford. You can also see Matthew in their latest DVD called Tap Out.
Here's more about their DVD sent in by ButchBear: "Based on the wrestling entertainment industry, masculine muscle mayhem rules as the men of Muscle Wrestling Entertainment (MWE) thrill a crowd of horny, cigar-smoking tough customers who cheer for these modern-day gladiators in no-holds-barred matches. 'Tap Out' to survive and submit to the aggressive sexual will of the winner. Tap in to the behind-the- scenes, crusty, hard-body action of the MWE, as a shady promoter takes and gets what he deserves".

There's a new hot muscle Bear model over at ButchBear. His name is Alec Shepard and he's a big bronco Daddy Bear. And while you're at it, check out their 2007 calendars ~ sure it's a little late in the game to get a calendar but if you like muscle men then hey, why not. Actually, head on over to their store and see what they have in 'store' for you (go to their store, see what they have in store...? I kill myself).
