My apologies for not posting this sooner. I've received my copy of the mag at least 10 days ago so this news is coming to you a little late - anyhow - go get yourself the latest copy of BEEF magazine (website - articles - cover - profile). It's issue #42, the magazine is in full colour now, and you can order your own subscription from their site or grab one at your local adult vendor.

The guys who give us BEEF Mag (website - articles - profile) are inviting you to their upcoming event - 100% Beef Men's Weekend - which will be taking place in Palm Springs, California during Memorial Day Weekend, which means from May 22nd thru the 25th. There was a postal strike in my area, so the mail has been backed up (they chose just before Christmas to go on strike... hit where it hurts). Anyhow I finally received the latest BEEF (website - articles - profile) in the mail. It's issue number #40 (cover) and it's their very first in all colour. As always, great job, lots of good looking guys, stories, comics, commentaries. Order your own via the post by getting a subscription at their online store.

Some news from Robert Harmon of 'Bound in Ink' (website - articles - profile). From Rob: "Bound in Ink isn't dead... I've just a lot going on. In July I moved to Charlotte, NC to be with my partner. I'm currently providing my animation and designer services on a freelance basis at my sister site Heavenly Dark Studios. In more Bound in Ink related news, I am in the process of working out this years 2009 collection. The first show will be in April at Philadelphia. So as I get more things done I'll keep everyone posted. Currently there is a new time lapse video I posted for the piece 'Always Remember Them'. Oh and lastly 100% BEEF (website - articles - profile) featured me as one of there artists of the month in issue 40. So Bound in Ink is alive and well folks".

The following is from Scott McGillivray (website) the editor for BEEF Magazine (website - articles - profile): "100% BEEF Magazine, the successor to the masculine-identified publishing legacy established by the now-defunct Original BEAR Magazine (website - articles) has just released it's 40th Edition. To mark this occasion, and signal the magazine's exciting forward momentum, BEEF has converted to a full-color format!
'It was time', says Editor and Co-publisher Scott McGillivray in his page one 'From the Editor' remarks in the 40th Edition of BEEF, adding, 'black and white was fun, and it allowed us to transition from where we were, pay homage to our beginnings, and continue the aesthetic of... the magazine from which we came, pretty seamlessly'.
BEEF focuses on the identities and lifestyles of adult, masculine-identified men and Bears. It was launched in May '02 by a group of friends after their swift departure from the hugely popular, but poorly managed and now-defunct original BEAR Magazine. Excited to continue the publishing legacy, but also eager to broaden the definitions and masculine sexual identities which the original Bear Magazine helped to popularize, co-publishers Scott McGillivray and Larry Woolwine forged a publishing alliance titled after the homoerotic term 'beefcake'.
From its first issue, 100% BEEF broke new erotic ground by injecting art, humor and satire into the masculine erotic mix, and by featuring models and materials that, many argued at the time, staunchly challenged some of the rigid parameters which had defined their publishing predecessor's pages".

Editor of magazine Beef Mag (website) Scott McGillivray (website - profile) is letting us know that their 40th issue will soon be out for Dec / Jan. And good news, they have now switched to all color throughout the magazine. You see that thumbnail image of Roger (enlarge - galleries - profile)...? That's our ad that will be showing up in their mag. A huge thanks to Scott for designing it.
In other news - they are starting to making plans for their very first 100 BEEF weekend at the Canyon Club Resort in Palm Springs over Memorial Day Weekend 2009. There's not many details as of now but we'll keep you informed as we get more.
Lastly, Scott is wishing to inform all that BEEF is in no way associated with the 'new' BEAR magazine (website - profile). For those who don't know, Scott was the editor for BEAR but this was when the magazine was owned by Brush Creek Media. Recently, the group Bear Omnimedia (website) has acquired the rights to the 'BEAR' trademark, yet they are not affiliated in any way.

The newest edition of Beef Magazine (cover - website - profile) is out - issue #38, and with each passing edition, this magazine gets better and better.
First off, editor Scott McGillivray (articles) talks about the end of the world which will be December 21st 2012... didn't he know...? Turn the page and you got a great 'BeerCan and Saurus' cartoon by Brutus (YouTube page) - this one is just classic - "it's so nice of you Amish people to give us a ride!"... ok... onto the men... there's Joe and Jake for your viewing pleasure, and there's a feature on the magic of Minoru (website - articles). Pick it up at your local adult shop or get it online via subscription on their site.

PlanetBears got a
Beefy Oops... in the latest Beef Mag #38. You see, in the previous issue, Beef (

profile) did a feature on us, entitle '
Sexy Beasts - the Big, Beautiful, Burly Bruisers of PlanetBear.com'... if you notice, they forgot the 's' --- it should be PlanetBear'S' not PlanetBear. So we got an Oops for that in the latest issue, which is very cool of Beef to do so... it put a smile on my face because... in a way... we got featured all over again, in a small but cute and furry way.
