And the winner is... well... we're not gonna tell ya, you're just going to have to watch the final episode of Britain's Next Bear Model to find out. This is 'Part B' of episode #7 and this is it ~ after 6 weeks and 8 contestants, they reveal the winner. Here at PlanetBears we have given this show extensive coverage ~ check out all the past articles since some of them have photos of the contestants. They've also been covering this excellent British show over at the Bearotic site.

In about a week's time, I will do a small write-up about what I thought of this show. I don't want to write it now because it will reveal the winner. For now, enjoy the show and be surprised to find out who took the title.

Neil Bruce (profile - articles) has been working really hard lately and has told us that he has many new pieces of art to share. Head on over to his webpage BearoticArt (not to be confused with Bearotic). He is also having a viewing at LeatherFest on November 15th at the Community Services Center in NYC (poster). Get to meet the artist, check out his original drawings on view and pick up a couple of pieces on sale. Nothing wrong in that.

From Bruin (profile), cartoonist of Bear With Me (articles): "Apparently, Paul's recent coming out has not gone over at all well with Mr. Lynde, who is on the phone with Karl suggesting he bring some friends over that evening. The air is becoming thick with foreboding, yet Paul seems oblivious to it.  Perhaps he's hoping for some kind of reconciliation with his family.  I'm hoping Andy doesn't take too long getting there". Also, 'Bear With Me' is featured on Bearotic. Very hot.

Going thru my archives, I came across an artist that I hadn't checked his site out in years. It had been 6 years or so since the last time I mentioned his work, and I was glad to see that he is still plugging away at his art.

His name is Chris Komater - website - and he does some really 'special' stuff in relation to fur. This is what I wrote concerning his work back in November '01 on Bear-Pics: "Sometimes you think - everything has been done with fur; that nothing new can come out of fur. We, the Bear lovers of the planet, have gotten used to the little furry events in our lives that we take for granted - like pulling fur from our teeth after a night of romp, or spending hours unclogging the tub when our trick takes a shower. And we, the Bear lovers of the world, we just can't seem to get enough of fur on photograph. We scurry about the net picking up as many furry pics as our hard drives can muster. And even though we stroke our knob as we examine or lick all the fur of the world, we realize - nothing new can be done with fur.

Well, my little fur-inhalers, today you are going to experience something new with fur, and we have to thank Chris Komater for this. Now, it might not be what you expect. New things sometimes take awhile to get used to. I'll be honest here and say that some of his stuff is really great, while some of his stuff I just don't understand. But hey, I'm not cultured, so what the hell do I know...?".

You have to check out his stuff (like his 'Jack and Mack' project), and I seem to have rediscovered his material at a good time because he now has a sale going on for some of his prints. Also, take a look at this recent Bearotic interview.

It's kind of one of those 'just when you've seen it all' websites... welcome to Hairy Mail. You are armed with a non-toxic online chemical depilatory which you use on this extremely hairy guy's back to 'write' a message to your friends. Very simple to use - just squeeze your mouse and the goop comes pouring out, and with a quick wipe, your message is infused on his back. Thanks to the guys at Bearotic (website - articles - profile) for this one.

I have mentioned this site before but it definitely is worth mentioning once again. It's called Bearotic (profile) and it's one of the best new Bear sites online. It's a blog with a big Bear heart, a site that is updated on regular basis with great articles and plenty of Bearish videos like this one.

From their site: "Bearotic is entertainment for Bears and the furry at heart. So whether you're a big burly lumberjack or just a lil' Cub admiring the view, we want you to have a good time and enjoy yourself here. Entertainment can mean a lot of different things to different people. So we do our best to present a wide variety of topics, events, artists and media. And since we think a little retail therapy is the best kind of entertainment, Bearotic also features products and services that lets you bring the experience home and into your lifestyle. Bearotic was created by a couple of media-hungry Bears who wanted to build an all-inclusive, light-hearted and low-stress place to share what's fun, amusing and even hawt. We love finding things in this big, Beary world to present to you".

So what's been going on over in the Bear With Me world? Andy seems to have recuperated at 100% however after getting the 'Dear John' letter from Paul, he was seriously down in the dumps. However, watch Andy as his 'Bearifies' himself in this issue... I believe this is the 1st time we actually see one of the characters morph from human to Bear... and now that he's 'Bearified' himself (I like the word), he's off to find Paul. Stay tuned.

'Bear With Me' is a cartoon drawn by artist Bruin (TubeBear profile - articles). Bruin has been recently interviewed by the Bearotic (profile) site - see the interview here.

The last time we visited Bear With Me: Andy was being brought to the hospital because he fainted; his mother Constance had a talk with Andy's boyfriend, Paul, telling Paul he's not good enough for his son; Paul had a breakdown due to the fact, threw his cellphone out the window, got in his van and left. As we catch up: Andy fainted due to his blood pressure dropping and he's fine; Constance finds out that Paul has left, and; Andy's secretary, Mo, is having a darn old time trying to contact Paul. So that's where we are. This week, looks like Andy got a 'Dear John letter'. We're just going to have to wait until next Monday to find out what's going to happen next.

In other news, Bruin (TubeBear profile - articles) was recently interviewed over at Bearotic (TubeBear profile - articles). You can see the article here.

If you haven't seen Doctor Woof, it's high time that you do since Doctor Woof 2 is just out. This is another fine production by Jonathan Robinson (website - YouTube profile) of FunFur.tv (TubeBear profile - articles), in collaboration with the ManBears cuties of Manchester UK. Doctor Woof is a spoof of Doctor Who. Check out these great write-ups about the show by Bearotic (article #1 - article #2).

it's once again time to add another great Bear site to your list of favourites. It's called Bearotic - The Bear Blog. Wow, tons of fun stuff on this site, one you should plan on checking daily to see what new stuff they've posted.

I asked the good looking gents who run Bearotic to send me a little something about themselves, and the following is what they have to say: "Stimulating entertainment for Bear men and their admirers. Your daily dose of fuzz including photos, video, news and information pulled from all over the net. The Bear community has developed a wide and diverse presence on the web. But who can keep up? Bearotic was created by Bears, for Bears, in an effort to find and broadcast the best of the best in Bear media.

The site's content is as diverse as their logo which shows faces of the Bear community ranging from cubs to grizzlies. Got a couple minutes to surf the net at work? Bearotic.com is also work safe. We don't show any full frontal nudity. So you can still find some 'stimulating' Bear entertainment without causing your boss or coworkers to have a fit.

What is Bearotic's definition of stimulating? According to their photographer, 'The idea is to leave something to the imagination of the viewer. It's all too easy to get the whole enchilada these days. We want our images to inspire by giving you a warm and fuzzy feeling, not a wet and sticky one'. That's Bearotic!".
