It was only last week we mentioned that issue #66 of BEAR Magazine will be available in January. Well today we got word that they got the rights to the dotcom for BearMagazine.com. Bear Omnimedia said the domain name was placed into an auction, they made a bid, and they won it.
The following is from Bear Omnimedia: "Ok, it's official, the domain BearMagazine.com has finally come back to BEAR Magazine! Since the implosion of Brush Creek Media in 2002, much of its contents have been hidden or scattered. For the past year Bear Omnimedia has been working on putting some of the pieces back together under the BEAR label, such as reassembling all of the back issues (#1 ~ #64), for eventual posting online (article); also repackaging and re-releasing some of BCM's more popular Bear movies on DVD. Not only in support of the new BEAR, but also in acknowledgment of Bear History and its continuing relevance. Having the domain back with the magazine may be a minor gain, but it's a definite step forward.
If you have any of the old BCM movies or publications, and are interested in helping us in our efforts to reassemble the Bear archives, please email me, Teddy".

I got my first every BearParty Magazine (website - cover - articles - profile) in the mail the other day. It's the fall issue and wow what a great pocket Bear surprise that was. I had never seen the rag before so when I picked it at the post office, I wasn't sure what it was since it's more of a digest sized mag, yet BearParty is filled with a ton of husky goodness with articles, cartoons, interviews, and the fall CoverBear Dave is just all kinds of gorgeous.
To get a copy, this is what they state from their site: "BearParty Magazine is distributed for free in a hand-selected list of Bear bars around the world, and online to BearParty members. We try to make enough copies available in every location, but even with more than 25,000 copies going out each quarter to hundreds of locations, we know some folks who want a copy aren't getting it. The magazine is free, but it costs us extra to mail it out to individuals. We can mail a printed copy to you quarterly (4 issues a year) in a plain envelope if you pay shipping and handling ~ $10 US ~ $20 International".

The following is from BearParty Magazine: "Some 25,000 copies of the latest issue of BearParty Magazine should be hitting local Bear bars and events around the world starting this weekend. You can also read it online for free with a free membership at BearParty.com.
Just in case you haven't seen it yet, BearParty Magazine is a convenient, digest-sized, bi-monthly print publication distributed for free at hundreds of bear bars, clubs, and events across the United States and around the world. Each glossy, full-color issue includes Bear comics, Bear galleries, features on Bear-friendly events, celebrities, trends, products, and news.
In case you were wondering about that sexy daddy on the cover, we met Matty at the Mr. San Francisco Leather contest this year, where he passed on his 2007 title as Mr. San Francisco Leather Daddy. You can see some pictures from that event in this issue as well. We're also featuring part three of Ken Slater’s tips on hooking up online, an illustrated interview with fine erotic artist Minoru Terada, and a discussion about the history and the future of Bear porn in print with Scott McGillivray of 100 Percent Beef. Or if you just want to relax, why not order a Zombie from the Open Bar, and read the new episode of Frankie & Roque? Woof!".
