Right now TubeBear is completely free, however a way to help us with the costs is... if you need to watch a movie, then why not view it thru TubeBear's VOD ~ Video on Demand. TubeBear is an affiliate of PPVNetworks and they offer the newest Bearish titles which you can stream from their site. Their latest DVDs you can watch are BearFilms' 'All Amateur Bear 3' and 'Classic Bear' by Bear Omnimedia (ButchBear).

I just received in the mail issue #66 of BEAR Magazine (website - front cover - back cover - articles - profile). This is the 2nd issue published by Bear Omnimedia once they acquired the BEAR trademark, and this issue is even better looking than their 1st. There's a ton of good looking guys, with Tober Brandt on the cover, and this issue has a centerfold for you to flip open.
In other news, they were initially planning on coming out with an issue every 6 months. They have decided to double the goodness so expect to see 4 issues every year.

I also know that they are working on issue #67 who will have Rich McGunn on the cover posing with his Harley.

Some cool news from Butch Bear (the same guys who bring you BEAR magazine):
"Village Lighthouse, Inc. today inked an exclusive merchandise licensing agreement with Butch Media, Ltd., a Bear Omnimedia company, to publish and distribute Butch Bear branded books, calendars, greeting cards and other products under its BIG Daddy and PROVOCATEUR divisions. Butch Bear has become known for the best adult films staring muscular hairy men, and this new merchandise will feature some of the hottest models from their most popular titles, each one full of furry eroticism for Bear lovers.
"Through its quality and consistency, Butch Bear has become a leader in the adult marketplace for producing content for those who love Bear men", said Ron Miller, President of Village Lighthouse, Inc. "Butch Bear knows their customer very well, and the products we create with the impressive photography of Teddy Mark will continue to reflect that dedication to the desires of their core audience".
"Village Lighthouse Inc. is well known for their strength in producing and distributing erotic specialties and publications. This partnership offers strong support for our hyper-masculine,
Butch Bear point of view, and meets the demand for a high quality, hot line of products for those who celebrate the unapologetically unshaven man", said Butch Bear CEO Wolfe Thompson.
A book of photography entitled 'Muscle + Fur' will be published in May 2009 by PROVOCATEUR featuring some of the best photography by Teddy Mark of the Butch Bear models. This book follows
PROVOCATEUR's popular December 2008 release of Uncensored featuring photography by acclaimed celebrity photographer Joe Oppedisano.
A 2010 Butch Bear wall calendar will be published in June 2009 by BIG Daddy. BIG Daddy will also publish a complementary line of Butch Bear greeting cards this summer".

It was only last week we mentioned that issue #66 of BEAR Magazine will be available in January. Well today we got word that they got the rights to the dotcom for BearMagazine.com. Bear Omnimedia said the domain name was placed into an auction, they made a bid, and they won it.
The following is from Bear Omnimedia: "Ok, it's official, the domain BearMagazine.com has finally come back to BEAR Magazine! Since the implosion of Brush Creek Media in 2002, much of its contents have been hidden or scattered. For the past year Bear Omnimedia has been working on putting some of the pieces back together under the BEAR label, such as reassembling all of the back issues (#1 ~ #64), for eventual posting online (article); also repackaging and re-releasing some of BCM's more popular Bear movies on DVD. Not only in support of the new BEAR, but also in acknowledgment of Bear History and its continuing relevance. Having the domain back with the magazine may be a minor gain, but it's a definite step forward.
If you have any of the old BCM movies or publications, and are interested in helping us in our efforts to reassemble the Bear archives, please email me, Teddy".

A new BEAR Magazine (website - articles - profile) issue will be available very soon, as in January soon. Brought back from the dead, this is the 2nd issue released by the new company Bear Omnimedia who have taken over reign to BEAR mag just recently (these are the same guys who bring you ButchBear).
I sent them off an email asking about their progress, and this is what they replied: "We've been busy working on the next issue of BEAR Magazine (#66 - cover), which has just been sent off to press and will be released in January. Fueled by all the positive feedback from the current issue, the new issue has been expanded with even more photos of hot Bear-men and very cool features. One of which will be the introduction of a fold-out centerfold featuring a different furry and sexy stud (called Mr. Bear Player) every issue. To my knowledge that's something that no other gay magazine has ever done before, but to me is a no-brainer. Who doesn't want to see a manly piece of meat unfolding out of the pages of BEAR?!"
You can pick up your subscription to this magazine from their website.

Editor of magazine Beef Mag (website) Scott McGillivray (website - profile) is letting us know that their 40th issue will soon be out for Dec / Jan. And good news, they have now switched to all color throughout the magazine. You see that thumbnail image of Roger (enlarge - galleries - profile)...? That's our ad that will be showing up in their mag. A huge thanks to Scott for designing it.
In other news - they are starting to making plans for their very first 100 BEEF weekend at the Canyon Club Resort in Palm Springs over Memorial Day Weekend 2009. There's not many details as of now but we'll keep you informed as we get more.
Lastly, Scott is wishing to inform all that BEEF is in no way associated with the 'new' BEAR magazine (website - profile). For those who don't know, Scott was the editor for BEAR but this was when the magazine was owned by Brush Creek Media. Recently, the group Bear Omnimedia (website) has acquired the rights to the 'BEAR' trademark, yet they are not affiliated in any way.
ps - here's the full sized image of that thumbnail pic of Roger.

"Bear Omnimedia (website - articles) announces the release of the Jack Radcliffe Box Set. In conjunction with the re-launch of BEAR magazine (website - interview - profile), this exclusive DVD collection, digitally mastered for the first time, features all 7 of Jack Radcliffe's movies produced by Brush Creek Media. These are the movies that rocketed Jack into Bear history and fueled the fantasies that launched a million loads.
What made Jack Radcliffe a porn legend? Well, Brush Creek Media discovered him in its early days and featured him on more covers of BEAR magazine than anyone else. He has been the subject of calendars, several websites and countless internet user-groups that offer many a heartfelt homage to his studly perfection. With an easy grin, sparkling green eyes, a lumberjack body and a big 'n thick, uncut cock, its easy to see why his fame continues: the epitome of rugged masculinity.
The Complete Jack Radcliffe Box Set includes: Uncut Footage - Classic Bear - Bear Sex Party - Palm Springs Vacation - Leather Bears At Play - Big Bear Trucking Co. - Big Bear Trucking Co. 2.

His name is Mike Dreyden (photo) and he's one hot muscle Bear Cub from Brooklyn, New York. Tight 'n hairy in all the right places. Mike has a super fun blog page which he has been updating regularly, and he has a MySpace page as well. He states that his own website will be going live by the holidays so make sure to keep an eye out for that.
He is a dancer, performer, a go-go BearBoy for the band Nekked who perform, and he is also becoming an international porn star with roles in movies like House of Leather (by Bear Omnimedia - cover - articles) and All Out Assault (by Knight Stick Films). I just read on his blog that his reign as King Stink of the pits is coming to an end soon and that he'll be passing his crown to the next winner... that's gotta be something to see... I know a lot of guys really dig pits so try and make it to Uncle Ming's in NYC if you can.

The brand new BEAR magazine is out...! (website - articles - profile). And check out who is on the front cover... why it's Jack Radcliffe who came out of retirement for this occasion (Jack is also on the back cover of this mag). This rag is packed with 64 pages and most of them have full covered images of some really Bearish men. There is a lot less talk and a lot more man, altho there are a few good articles sprinkled about, just enough to sharpen your reading skills.
But... wait... on the cover... it says... episode #65... what the...? Ok, it's a long story... best you check out the interview for all the inside scoop about this, however, it is summed up on their profile as well: "Remember when issue No. 64 came out in 2001? Shortly thereafter it's then publisher got into financial trouble and sank like the Titanic, taking BEAR with it. We all thought it was the end of that, but good things usually don't stay hidden forever. As a creditor of the former publisher, it took us going to court and ultimately granted compensation by being given the former publisher's copyrights to be able to become the new publisher, and bring No. 65 to life 7 years later. DAMN!
Since coming to us, BEAR has undergone the most dramatic metamorphosis of its history with a new look and a new direction to reflect the many levels of an emerging contemporary, mature, masculine community. The result is a crisp, modern look with fresh editorial content featuring hot erotic photography and provocative fiction, blended with humor and informative articles. And having Jack Radcliffe (aka Frank Martini) on the cover definitely was that extra touch to link the past and present together. He still is THE bear god of BEAR Magazine, fur sure".

The latest issue of BearParty Mag is out (website - articles - profile). It is their summer edition (from July to September). The following is from their current issue: "Don't pronounce the name of our Summer CoverBear like the tragic hero of the popular Shakespeare play. It's pronounced Ro-MAY-oh. But however you say it, Romeio's one hot Bear! In this issue you can see more pictures of him, along with stories about leather mentor and author Blade T. Bannon, and the productive team behind Bear Omnimedia (website - articles). We've also got the final chapter of Ken Slater's popular guide to hooking up online, a new episode of the Frankie & Roque comic strip, a history of the 'red rum' Shanghai Cocktail, and all the rest of our usual features.
It's the 'Summer of Love' all over again in California. Bears and other same-sex couples are enjoying the newly recognized right to marry, bringing California into sync with much of the rest of the civilized world in its support for gay marriage. Among the hundreds of Bears enjoying this new reality is the editor of the popular Bear-oriented adult magazine 100 Percent Beef (
website
- articles - profile), Scott McGillivray (website - articles), whom we profiled in the last issue of BearParty Magazine. On June 17th '08, Scott was married to Gregory Bessmer, his partner since 1996, in Riverside, CA. Wouldn't it be exciting to publish a social registry, to commemorate the furry nuptials being celebrated by Bears all over the world? Let’s all join together to wish the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness together. Woof!".

There's some new videos that have been added to TubeBear's VOD page ~ Video on Demand ~ and one of them is the latest from Bear Omnimedia entitled 'House of Leather', starring with Tober Brandt, Bo Ladd, Adam Faust, Matthew Ford (profile - website), Josh West, Peter Axel, Park Wiley, Mike Dreyden and Torrin: "You unlock the door of this house with the key of imagination, for you are about to travel through another dimension - a dimension not only of sight and sound but of art, pleasure and pain. Forget the familiarities of home and the comfort of a routine day, because that stinging sound of a whip and that faint smell of latigo and lube tells you that you've arrived just in time... at the 'House of Leather'".

"Not many know the name
Bear Omnimedia
, though ask most any guy who loves masculine men with body hair and they'll recognize the name
ButchBear
. Bear Omnimedia is actually the parent company of Butch Bear®, BEAR® and Backroom Films®. These three studios make up the bulk of what Bear Omnimedia stands for: hyper-masculine, iconic men!
Butch Bear began around 2001, a few months prior to 9/11, and has grown to be a popular source for muscular men with hair. With its yearly calendar and increasing video line, it now meets that demand all around the world.
BEAR, a trademarked name, was added last fall and will present a broader range of hairy men with new videos (Cabin Fever is a new release which
came out a few months ago) and a soon-to-be-added library of classic bear films. A new 'BEAR Magazine' has also been in the works and will be unveiled later this summer.
Backroom Films is a new studio that focuses more on leather themes and those that are considered too edgy for the other brands. The first in this video line will be premiered at IML Chicago 2008 called 'House of Leather.
The websites for BEAR and Backroom Films are currently in-work".

The other week (article here), I told you gents of a new rag which has yet to be launched however the name of it is BEAR Magazine. I also mentioned that I knew very little about the mag. Well I know a little bit more now. For one thing, there is as of yet no date of its launch. From what I heard, it might be this year, it might be next year, so right now nobody should be getting their hopes up. However, I do know that it's going to be big and filled with tons of pics and the distribution level is set to be high. If you're interested in learning more, then check out the Bear Omnimedia site and contact them for an advertising packet.
Here is a little from the packet: "Bear Omnimedia LLC is a global entertainment and media company dedicated to providing gay men with entertainment that encompasses the realm of men's passions. Focussing primarily on tasteful, erotic photography of Bear-type men with body or facial hair, we will present BEAR as a periodic magazine that provides thousands of men with images and the up-to-date lifestyle options they want most.
BEAR aims to be a glossy media benchmark for reaching the hyper-masculine gay market and to deliver award-winning editorial content; unique erotic content; stylish BEAR branded products; exclusive events at the 'BEAR Mansion'; hairy, hungry, horny men and red-hot PR".
