Hot off the press is the latest issue of 100% BEEF Mag (website - articles - profile), and that would issue #39 (cover).

Some really great looking men in this issue, like Clint Taylor who's been in many a Bear movie, a well known Bear model. Then there's the real hot Devlin Michaels.And on the cover: Bill... triple woof. Bill is a 50 year old Daddy from San Fran. Overall, this is a real handsome looking issue. Oh, and from what I read from the editorial, we might be seeing some more leather... very cool. You can find a copy of BEEF Mag probably at your nearest adult store, or the best way is to simply order a subscription from their site.

Chubs in Paradise is around the corner and today is I believe the last day you can get tickets to their event. This is taking place from July 17th thru the 19th in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, FL. Check out who's going and see pics taken from this event last year.

Project Big is one of the sponsors and BearBob1952 (profile) has informed me that they will be putting on a fashion show at the pool party. Now since this is a clothing optional pool party, the models will actually be putting their clothes on instead of taking them off. It's a new concept to catwalking the runway.

[Members click here - become a member - previews here] If you've ever visited the bear-pics website I used to run before I closed it down, you just might recall of a shoot I had with Orlando aka Eito. Orlando was very popular and had a lot of online fans. He came up to my place from New York in September 2002 for a weekend and we had a great time, we took a lot of pics and I have a lot of fond memories of getting to know this handsome man. Once the weekend was over, we promised to keep in touch a lot and we even spoke about doing another shoot in the future. However... once he left, we really didn't keep in touch at all. I sent him the occasional email seeing how he was doing and how life was going, and his emails to me were just as scarce. The last email I got from him was March 2003 and he wrote "Hello Forrest, I never forget about you. Here for you" and with it he attached a set of photos he took so I could add to the site.

Exactly 3 years after that shoot we had, in September 2005, I get an email from a friend of his saying that Orlando is very sick and that he's in the hospital. I emailed this friend back asking if there was anyway to contact Orlando. I got a reply with a phone number. Unfortunately, I never called him, and 20 days after his friend initially emailed me, well he sent me another email, this time saying that Orlando had passed away. He was 42 years old.

At the time, I posted an article about Orlando on BearFoot (which at the time was a message board for guys into Bear feet), and holy smokes did I ever get a ton of email replies of guys sending in their condolences. It was really only then that I realized just how many people that Orlando had touched. He was truly a fantasy Bear for many many men.

Also at the time, I was torn - do I take his pics down out of respect or do I keep them up online...? I asked a few friends about this and they all said the same thing: Orlando is cute, he took great pics, he's turned on a lot of men so let him keep turning them on. What they said made sense, so I kept Orlando's pics alive.

However, I have a ton of pics Orlando sent me, and with his permission he told me to post these online. I kind of forgot about all of them (around 240 pics), but going through my archives I came across them and I decided to post these as well. So head on over to Orlando's gallery and check out the last 4 photo sets.

It's still sad to think that he's gone. Just like his pics, he was truly all what a Bear should be - nice on the outside and nice on the inside.

Here are some excellent photos taken by GianOrso (website - TubeBear profile), the well known Italian photographer sent me during the days when I was running bear-pics (the site before PlanetBears). These photos were taken for a calendar he was working on called 'Food 4 Bears' - some of these photos made the calendar, some are outtakes.

I gotta say, going through my old bear-pics folders is kicking up some nostalgia in me. Anyhow, enough about me, click here to enjoy this very cool set. Thanks GianOrso. The latest issue of Beef Mag (website - front cover - TubeBear profile) is now out and available for all you guys to grab. It's issue #36 and inside you'll find pictures of Jake Dakota, Matt, Drew and Adrian. As always there's some fiction and their regular columns such as the 'Kitchen Sink', 'Beef Tips' and pics from their road trips. There's also the 'BeerCan and Saurus' cartoon drawn by the infamous Brutus and a new comic called 'Saving Ryan' by Rolando Merida. You can order your subscription via their website.

A new site is on the horizon - it's called ManlyBears and right now it's 'under construction' however the webmaster Joey (TubeBear profile) is calling out for Bear and Chub models to apply. He has just bought a new studio for movies and photo shoots and he is located in Houston, TX. They are even willing to pay for your trip to their studio if they like what they see. I went to my little PO box this morning while walking the pups and guess what I found... the latest issue of 100 Percent Beef (website - TubeBear profile - front cover), the adult magazine for... adults, and the only 'Bearish' magazine out there as of now.

There's 4 models to gawk over - Smoky, Big Ed, Steve and Big Russian Bear. There's some kinky stories, a few comics, a couple of articles and other fun stuff... all in all another great issue from Beef Mag - and this is #35. I have mentioned this site a couple of times here in the news (here and here) and it's worth mentioning again - the site is called BearPictureArt and it's run by an excellent photographer out in Germany by the name of Mark. His work has shown up in both the European Bear Mag as well as 100% Beef. The models he chooses are truly some incredibly looking Bearish men, and if you're interested in being photographed by him, all you have to do is contact him.
