The Bear Amateur Galleries have been filling up quite nicely lately, however you just might not have noticed since all of this is happening in the Gallery section. I have been working hard at filling those areas up. The past few weeks, I've added over 3000 photos from exactly 100 different cute Bears who, at one point or another, have sent me their photos, some of them dating back as far as '99. Also, ever since I reopened the Bear Amateur Galleries, I've been receiving a lot of new sets as well and I have more to add. Make sure to keep an eye out on these galleries as I will be adding more and more photo sets and yet I don't always mention that fact here in the news.

This is another article in my series of 'where have the artists gone to...? Click here to see some drawings by Chris Taylor, a highly defined muscular, intelligent, witty and seriously hot looking Bear (pic #1 ~ pic #2).

The last I heard from him, Chris was doing was working on some comic books. This was back in '03, and I've sent him a couple of emails since but those emails have turned into cyberdust. A highly talented guy, gorgeous and menacing at the same time, because I met Chris Taylor way back in '00 (or '01) at this Bear Icons show. At the time, I was trying to get a 'Bear Mall' open with 2 other guys yet it fell thru, however Chris did some drawings (Bear Foot guy- and his boots). He also made me a BearPress guy (since the site I was running back then was called BearPress - pic #1 - pic #2). I hope all is well and I hope he's still drawing husky men because Chris sure had a knack for it.

[Click Here] You know, there are some really hot looking men in this world and I thank our blue and green planet Mother Earth for that fact every day. That being said... I'm really honoured to present to you Scott. I have seen pics of Scott on the net for some time now (especially those of him next to his motorcycle), and have been a fan of his ever since my eyes came across his photos. I didn't know who he was back then, but then I landed upon his homepage.

Now here is one truly interesting Bear: he's a paramedic and he's right now working for a company in Afghanistan until the summer of '09. If you check out his homepage, you'll see some beautiful shots of where he's staying as well as some truly gross pictures of dead insurgents. Not that I'm a wuss or anything, I just decided not to place my attention on the results of war... instead I  focused my attention on Scott's incredible Bearish body. I also read his bio which is a really interesting read. He's open and honest; quality traits I appreciate in a man.

Scott gave me the permission to add his photos to the PlanetBears Galleries. Simply put, he's a Bear deity (heck, I'd worship him by sacrificing a few twinks). Seriously, he's got a body that doesn't stop and these wild green/blue/hazel coloured eyes that melt you like butter all the while burning a lasting impression onto your soul. I've been gawking at the 200+ pics that I added, and all I could think of is that I hope one day I might able to meet with Scott and work on a photo shoot together. He's got a body that I think my camera would love.

(PlanetBears members - click here): I still have fond memories of my very 1st days of logging on to the internet, with my 14.4k, my 3.5 Windows, browsing the WWW with my Netscape. This was '95, and at the time, Bear sites were very scarce, but with determination, I searched and sought out until the wee hours of the night every night until I found what I wanted.

One of the very first sites I remember coming across that had a lasting impression on me was an AOL homepage maintained by John, aka Blithwulf (photo - profile). Here was this oso cute redheaded young Bear, 6'2'', bearded with glasses (I've always had a thing for Bears with glasses) with a page on the net, yet what made Blithwulf's different was: 1) he updated it (which was very rare for Bear homepages ~ most guys made then left them static), and he content I never saw on any other sites ~ specifically Bear foot material. Also, his pics were a whopping 640x480, not just glorified thumbnails.

Blithwulf then went one step further: he moved away from the AOL homepage and started working on an actual 'Bear Foot' site. There was a forum which was quite active, and Blithwulf's idea was to have an e-zine with more content, more photos, more Bear goodness. Well the forum kept going for awhile but at some point Blithwulf dropped the project, and both his AOL site and forum were dropped.

All that that remains of Blithwulf's projects are my fond memories of realizing that the internet is going to be the place where I was finally going to be able to express myself, and that I was going to meet up with good looking men who are turned on by the same things as me. In other words, it was sites like Blithwulf that help normalize my world

Did I say the only thing that remains from his AOL site is my memories? My bad - check out this great set of photos. I chatted with Blithwulf the other day, asking him if he had anything left from his homepage, and he sent me these 16 classic photos... and it was stuff like this that had made me going back to Blithwulf's page every day for more.

PlanetBears' Update: here are over 150 photos Blithwulf sent me back when I used to run bear-pics ('00 ~ '06). Only thing is that they are 640x480, but they are still a ton fun to see, and Blithwulf said he and his boyfriend are working on new photos which he'll be sending as well.

We added 3 new galleries to BearFoot. You can see them here (they are entitled 'Bakin' 'n Restin'' - 'On The Dock' and 'Muddy Beach'). Now the only way to see these galleries is you need to have a PlanetBears membership. BearFoot is not open yet and only PlanetBears members can see the gallery section. We are still working on BearFoot and we're hoping to have it open soon.

So in order to see the BearFoot galleries, you will need a temporary username and password. For more info on how to get one, check out this article and watch the video.

To all those who have a membership with PlanetBears (and those who still have their membership since the bear-pics days) - please email me or use the contact form and I will give you a temporary username and password to the BearFoot Galleries which has almost a thousand photos of Roger.

Now I posted this very same article back in the middle of May (here) and I was expecting a lot of you guys to email me. However, I didn't even get the fraction of emails I was expecting... which says to me that a lot of people don't read what's on the net... and well... I know I don't read a whole hell of a lot so I guess it's understandable.

In other BearFoot news: when I wrote that article back in May, I got an email from someone who was interested in buying the domain name. Now this was not the 1st time someone wanted to buy BearFoot but this was the 1st serious offer I received... well... it turned out that it wasn't so serious after all and this guy was just leading me on... I don't think he had any intention on buying the domain name, and we negotiated for a month and even when he got his asking price, he declined, which tells me he was a scam with too much time on his hands.

So... whatever... he's a donkey and I wasted my time. The bad news is that I wasted a month when I could have been working on BearFoot. The good news is that I get to keep the BearFoot domain name.

Anyhow... back to the article... to all those who presently have a membership with PlanetBears, please email me and I will give you a password to the site. It is a temporary password but at least you will get to preview the site. But once the website is finished and we're ready to go live, the password will no longer be good.

So please - contact me... I have something good to give you... honest.

It's been awhile since we posted any news about BearFoot, the site that will be featuring the very handsome Roger and his cute feet (Roger's TubeBear profile and his PlanetBear's gallery).

We are almost ready to open the site; we have a ton of pictures as well as videos that are already on the site which means we are fully stocked once the front doors open. Now the site does focus on Roger's feet but there's a lot of full bodied pictures as well of this extremely sweet and debonair mature Bearish man.

Something you might not know is that Roger is a professional pastry maker and baker. He is also loves computers yet he's in the learning phase (but aren't we all). Roger has been taking night courses and one of the things they have been learning is PowerPoint. He made this slideshow for BearFoot so you guys can get a little taste of what is ahead (you can download either the 2007 slideshow for PowerPoint or the 2003 version - and if you don't have PowerPoint you can always get OpenOffice which is free to download).
