On August 30th, Paul Blouin, owner of the Woof Bar & Bistro (website - articles - profile) held the 'Monsieur Bear Montréal' contest (articles - photos). This was the very 1st Bear contest that this great French Canadian city had ever seen. I (Forrest - profile) was there and I filmed the event as well as livestreamed it - both here on PlanetBears as well as on TubeBear. The livestreaming had a bunch of kinks of it (disconnection, sound issues) so I was glad that I filmed it.

I also kind of convinced my partner and hubby, Roger (galleries - profile) to be a contestant. He was reluctant at first, thought it over, then agreed to do it. He was nervous and anxious the whole week prior to the contest, yet once he got up there, he was a natural.

The video is just under 10 minutes long. Originally it was 16 yet I decided to edit it down, and this way I was able to place it here as well, on my YouTube page - BearGhetti. Hope you enjoy it.

We have randomly chosen a winner for our ButchBear DVD giveaway contest. The winner is JovenBear (profile): that photo was taken by GianOrso (website - profile). JovenBear has won the DVD Bounty Hunter (photo inlet #1 - inlet #2)... how did he win...? By simply joining TubeBear and creating a profile with a main photo. It was that simple. Awhile back we mentioned we were going to choose a winner, and JovenBear is our first one, and what a cute Spanish Bear is he at that.

Here at TubeBear, we are planning on giving away a ButchBear DVD 2 times a month, all you have to do is create a profile and you're eligible to win.

Last week I posted an article about an upcoming movie from UCM an independent Israeli film company. Since then I have learnt a little more about the movie. The title is called My Own Private Sumo and here is a short synopsis UCM sent me "the movie focuses on Herzl, an overweight unemployed cook who is desperately trying to lose weight. After the weight-watcher instructor gives up on him and 'fires' him from the group, he finds a job as a dishwasher in a Japanese restaurant. He soon learns that in Japan sumo wrestlers are respected and considered beautiful. He decides to recruit 3 friend for the weight watchers group and start an amateur sumo group led by his Japanese boss".

There's also some side-stories to this movie, including one character by the name of Gidi, a 35 year old overweight gay man who doesn't dare to come out. He fears that his homophobic friends will mock him and moreover that his looks and his weight will prevent him from meeting anyone. He tries the chat lines online but is rejected. It's not until he Googles the words 'Gay Bears' that he comes upon a world of men that actually find him attractive.

The website for 'My Own Private Sumo' is still in the works and I will also keep you posted with any news and updates concerning this interesting upcoming movie.
