There is a lot to do this Labour Day weekend in Montréal. Even tho all of these events are unrelated (meaning: none of them are endorsing the other), if you plan on coming into town this weekend, there's a lot of great Bear events to attend.

First there is 'Monsieur Bear Montréal' which will be taking place at the Woof Bar that is run by Paul (website - articles - profile). This is happening on Saturday night - August 30th, and I (Forrest) will be there livestreaming for TubeBear. Also ~ Roger (galleries - profile) has decided to become a contestant, so make sure to come and root for him huge.

Then on Sunday, August 31st, join up with the UpBear bunch (website - articles) for their morning brunch. They will be meeting up at the Restaurant Palais Montcalm. UpBear is maintained by JF (JBearWoof) and Jacques (PandaMontreal).

Later on, check out Bear Crusader (website - articles) as they are playing at the bar 'La Place à Côté'. Check out their YouTube page and MySpace page. Bear Crusader consists of Steve (MTLScream) and Sylvain (MusiBear).

Some news to share concerning, Bear Crusader, composed of Steve (TubeBear profile) and Sylvain (TubeBear profile) and , the Montreal based band. 1st they have a new webpage design. They have new videos for you to check out on their YouTube page, and there's new MP3s for you to check out on their MySpace site. They have some upcoming shows such as the Ottawa Bears BBQ on July 19th and they will be in Montreal on August 31st.

The Ottawa Bears are having their Mr. Ottawa Bear contest on January 19th at Swizzle Bar & Grill in Canada's capital city of Ottawa, Ontario. This year the Montreal band Bear Crusader will be providing the entertainment. A couple of the Bear Crusader band members consist of Steve (website - TubeBear profile) and Sylvain (TubeBear profile). As well, there will be Bear go-go dancers.

It's just around the corners - HiBearNation - an event hosted by the Show Me Bears. It is going to take place from November 8th thru the 11th in St. Louis, Missouri.

The following is from their website: "The unofficial meet and greet party begins on Thursday. Friday evening we offer a free dinner and drinks while guests mingle. Later that night we begin our bar crawl. We finish off Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings with very frisky after hours parties, complete with food, drinks and plenty of men. Donuts, coffee and juice are provided on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We'll have an optional dinner Saturday evening, just before the charity auction and an optional breakfast on Sunday morning. Join us Sunday evening for Furball followed by the final after hours party. JJ's Clubhouse & Bar will be sponsoring the 3rd annual Blue Ribbon Bear Contest, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Registered guests receive bus service to scheduled events, after hours parties with free food, drinks and more".

Montreal based band Bear Crusader have a brand new look to their website. The band consists of 4 cute Bearish guys ~ Steve, Sylvain, Pascal and their new drummer. They have an upcoming show on June 9th in Montreal. Just head on over and check out their music, videos and pics. Here's some musicians in the Montreal area (Quebec, Canada, cold near North Pole, penguins litter the streets) doing their part in making music huskier. First off, there's CubSound (MySpace page). He's putting on his 1st live concent in Montreal on March 17th which is this upcoming Saturday at the Cocktail lounge.

Then there's a rock band called Bear Crusader ~ website. From a look on their site, they do not have any upcoming gigs planned as of yet, but you can see them in action from their video page here on YouTube. Vive le rock et roll...
