Willkommen! is how you are greeted on the Bear Bust website as they welcome you to their upcoming OctoBearBust which will be taking place in Orlando, FL from October 16th thru the 19th.

"The Bears of Central Florida’s Bear Bust Committee has been working hard to make this another great celebration of Bears and their Admirers! This is the 17th year that our event has been held. We have done our best to listen to all of the great suggestions that have been sent to us and hope we have made the improvements needed for everyone to have as much fun as possible! This year's theme of 'OctoBearBust' has given us the opportunity to think in new ways about what we wanted to do with the weekend. We hope to surprise, delight and entertain everyone who participates".

Bubba of Bubbaclicks is informing us that his newest 'Bear Men 2009 Calendar' (cover) is now available. You can grab yourself a copy at Amazon (here) or at 10percent (here with photo examples of the models) and at Amazon (here). It is also available at some other smaller websites and in local gay retailers.

Bubba is already working on his 2010 calendar (this guy is way organized... I need to pay him just for some organizational skills). From Bubba: "I am in the process of shooting my 2010 calendar right now and also working on a cub calendar too. I will be at Bear Bust this year in Orlando.... anyone coming to Fort Lauderdale and looking for pictures or possibly being in a calendar or magazine, should hit me up".

From the Bear Bust website: "It is with great sorrow that the Bears of Central Florida must say good bye to the Full Moon Saloon. The Full Moon has been our home for 17 great years. The Moon has hosted all our activities including Bear Bust from the beginning of our organization in 1990. We would like to thank Bob Graves for all of his leadership, support and generosity throughout the years. We wish him all the best in his well deserved albeit unexpected retirement.

In light of this news, the BOCF has shifted all Bear Bust events previously scheduled at the Full Moon Saloon to alternate venues, which we will announce as our agreements become formalized. As always the BOCF strives to provide all of our guests an event to remember and wish to remind everyone that though the venue has changed the event lives on. The Vendor Fair will be held at the Host Hotel and as always is open to all guests whether they have purchased a package or not. As always, you must purchase a run package to attend the after-hours and pool parties!

We are still planning on offering shuttle service to those who have purchased run packages. Arrangements are being made to accommodate the shuttle stop that was previously scheduled at the Full Moon to a nearby location.

In regards to the overwhelming number of visitors and locals who have always enjoyed the camaraderie that Bear Bust provides, the Bear Bust Committee would strongly encourage you to consider attending in an official capacity this year by purchasing a run package. The committee is also taking under advisement the possibility of opening some of the more popular events and the shuttle service to an individual purchase or 'a la carte' option. Updated information and availability of this option will be posted on the Bear Bust sight when and if it is offered.

We look forward to seeing everyone this year for Bear Bust 16 'Bears Go Native' from October 18th through the 21st. It is our sincere hope that this will be an opportunity to make some positive changes to our event. We appreciate all of your support during this retooling process".
