After that, the voting will ensue between November 15th until December 31st. There is also a new category 'Bear of the Year'; one who has done the most for the Bear and GLBT community - (this category requires a bit of background).

BearJournals is a very simple site yet we know that simple is sometimes the most effective. Just look at Google. Ok, now BearJournals is far from Google however it's got enough links on it to have you browsing for awhile.

BearJournals is a site which lists Bear as well Chub and Cub blog sites, Bear/Chub/Cub paysites and news sites. It's definitely worth a visit.

The other day (article) PlanetBears informed you that Got Fur? is once again running their 'Best of the Bears' ballot - in which you guys first nominate then later vote for who you think are Best of the Bears. Well this year they added a new category "Bear of the Year": "This is the Bear or Cub who gives time and again to the Bear and GLBT communities, proudly presents the Bear lifestyle, and embodies the spirit of the ursine brotherhood". I got word from Cubs Out Loud (COL) that they are hoping you guys will start sending them news 'n stuff their way. From COL: "we're looking for Bears, Cubs, Otters, Chasers, et al. from around the US, hell, the world to blog on COL about the Bear Community. COL Bloggers who also have a podcast can post their podcast on the site as well. I really do want to make this the One Stop Bear Shop for the entire Bear community. It seriously pays to have your stuff mentioned on PlanetBears - which is consequently added on TubeBear. If you have any kind of news that is Bear related - whether you are a Bear yourself or an admirer of the husky hairy mature man, then by all means email us or use our Send News form. Inclusively, we have a newsletter with over 7000 signed and we have added a new section to it - Affiliation News. What we are doing is adding news you guys send in.

Lately both PlanetBears and TubeBear have been getting a lot of traffic. Here are a couple of emails I recently received as living testimony. The 1st is from Jonathan Robinson of FunFur (website - TubeBear profile - YouTube page - articles): "Hi Forrest as always thank you for the support! I got a huge amount of traffic from your link today so it's appreciated! Have a good weekend! Hugs, Jonathan".

Here's another email from Steve and Hugo of DungeonBears (TubeBear profile - articles): "Hi Forrest. I have a question for you.  Did you do something special with your site yesterday. The reason I am asking is TubeBear rang up 4 sales on DungeonBears yesterday.  My site traffic also doubled yesterday. Whatever you did, 'A Big Thank You' - Big Hugs - Steve".

PlanetBears is truly the only Bear news website online. It is not a blog site and I (Forrest - TubeBear profile) have been taking Bear news seriously since it's important that we are represented properly on the internet. It's a mature site, sometimes adult, sometimes porn, sometimes erotic, yet it remains serious, and the increase in traffic has been proving this.

Dart is the webmaster for BearBound, the site that's all about Bears in bondage and has some of the best looking Bearish men tied up in all kinds of interesting positions. Before you got to know Dart a bit better via his old LiveJournal blog and he also has a TubeBear profile. Well now he has his very own site - Dart's Domain. There's a few picture galleries, some links, a new blog and he is now doing podcasts which you can grab (his 1st one is in 2 parts). It also looks like he will be having videos but that's still 'in construction'.

There's a brand new look happening over at Bearapalooza. There's video clips, tunes, a blog, links, and a list of their upcoming shows for 2008. Head on over and give it a gander.
