It has been awhile since we featured a TubeBearer (those with a TubeBear profile). The plan was to feature one new TubeBear profile a week, but that plan seem to go astray, and it's actually been quite some time since a profile has been featured. So instead of just featuring one this time, how about checking out a few... this way we can kind of catch up... or something.
Let's start off with Earl, aka ArtsyGuy. A handsome Daddy from the USA who does some fun Bearish drawings. He also does other types (non-Bearish), which you can see from his site.
Now head on over to Tim's profile, aka TimCub. Cute... nice smile... and that's Montreal in his main profile photo (my hometown). No, that is not why I'm featuring TimCub... he is from Austin, TX and he has his own podcast show as well as cool website called Cubs Out Loud (TubeBear profile - articles) ~ and if the Cubs were as cute as Tim, I just might open PlanetCubs some day. He also has a MySpace page.
Third profile to check out ~ Marvin's aka Ursusnoir. From Renton, he has a sool website called Ursus At Large. Marvin runs a podcast as well (here). From his site: "Ursus @ Large is the podcast that follows Marvin on his journey through life as a single Bear in Seattle. Just like life, this podcast doesn't necessarily follow a single theme".
There we have it... now we're a bit more caught up. I will continue to keep an eye out on all those new TubeBear profiles ~ we're up to 7200+ now and counting. If you know of a profile you think should be featured, email me (Forrest ~ TubeBear profile) or use the Contact form... even if you think it's you that should be featured.

From the Bears on the Run site: "Over the last few years, outlets like Bear Radio Network, Bearapalooza and Woobie Bear Music, along with a host of supportive Bear runs, bars and podcasts, have given Bear musicians, songwriters and performers a place to share their talents. This fall, 6 performers will head out in a van for the 1st ever Bear tour which will span 12 cities and 7 states including Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma.
The tour is called Bears on the Run and showcases the talents of Bobaloo (a comedian from Los Angeles, CA - TubeBear profile), Kendall (a songwriter and performance artist from Buffalo, NY), Matthew Temple (a folk singer/songwriter from Nashville, TN), Nakia (a Blues singer/songwriter from Austin, TX), Elijah Black (a rock singer and songwriter from Akron, OH) and Shannon Grady (a singer and songwriter from Minneapolis, MN). Along for the ride will be two videographers who will capture performances as well as life backstage and on the road to be edited into a documentary.
The tour's founder Shannon Grady (a singer and co-host of the popular podcast bTALK) hopes that the tour will grow and open up doors for other Bear artists and find new audiences for their work".

It's time to make a dream come true for the dreamy Nakia (website). What's his dream...? Well read on, the following is from Nakia: "When I moved to Austin in 2002 I was fortunate enough to attend the very first Austin City Limits Music Festival. From the moment I walked in the gate, and that very first chord played, I knew one day would be up there on-stage singing my songs & performing to a fan just like me. Since then, ACL has become one of the most important music festivals in the world and this year, I finally have the chance to make my dream of being an ACL performer come true. ACL is giving one artist a chance of a lifetime - to be part of the ACL Festival alongside such acts as Bob Dylan, Bjork, Wilco, The White Stripes, Arcade Fire, Joss Stone, Amy Winehouse, and Lucinda Williams!
So today I am asking for your help. Just click
here
to visit my ACL Contest page. Simply type in your email address into the form and input the security code - then click vote.
It's that simple. You can use your email address to vote once per day, so make sure to bookmark the page to use again. I have to be in the Top 100 to move onto Round 2 by August 20th. I am currently number 6 out of 75!
Thanks again for taking the time to read this very special note and I hope you will take a moment to visit the contest site and vote for me today! Then in September, join me the Austin City Limits Festival and enjoy all of the extraordinary talent that they have lined up this year!".

This is not the Brady Bear Bunch - altho imagine what the show would have been like with these 6 talented good looking men... instead this team makes up a new ensemble of talent known as the 'Bears on the Run'. Their site is still in the making however this much I can tell you: this team is comprised of 6 artists (4 musicians, 1 performance artist and 1 comedian), and come this October, they will be traveling to Dallas, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Nashville, Lexington, Columbus, Cleveland, Chicago and St. Louis. Phew... that's one hell of a road trip. They are also seeking out sponsors so if you have a Bear friendly business and would be interested in sponsoring, then read this page to find out how you can become a sponsor.
Now to the important part - the good looking men who make up 'Bears on the Run'. To learn more about each of them, then click on that link above (or click here)... however here is a quick run down of the players who make up this band. There's Bobaloo (website), there's Shannon Grady (website), there is Matthew Temple (website), then there is Nakia (website), there is Elijah Black (loud rockin' website), and then the final hunk is Kendall (website). I will post more about Bears on the Run when I get word, but for now just double check that list of cities they will be playing and if you're in the vicinity of any of them... well... prepare to get yourself a ticket or 6 for you and your friends because this is one show you really should not miss.

I am right now listening to some brand spankin' new Nakia... wha...? You haven't heard of Nakia? Oh brother, well he's this incredibly sexy looking Cub from Texas and his voice is like... well... it's like butter to bread... kinda like a Daddy Bear on top of his restless Cub... a bit like leather on sweaty fur - in other words - I'm hooked ~ fan for life.
Now it's my job to convince you guys on how good this guy is and I needn't work at all in convincing since his own voice will be plenty proof: here's a song from his new album called Texas Crescent Moon (and yes, I want to fall in love under a Texas sky... er... never mind me).
Now Nakia has just come out with a new CD. On February 17th, he released 'Playing The Cards'. To hear some samples as well as to buy it, go here (CDBaby). However, to keep up with all what this talented cutey is up to, then head on over to Nakia.net and go here to see some of his videos and listen to his jukebox. He's also in a band called Southern Cousins (MySpace), and to see a bunch of pics of this handsome lad, go here (FlickR)... phew... that's a lot of goodness from one cute Cub, ain't it...? And here's hoping we'll hear more from him in the future.
