Steve Sarek is what I would almost consider a pocket Bear. He's just a little too tall to be a full pocket Bear, yet he's got that huggableness ~ that you want to go over and give him squeeze him tenderly since he's so darn cute... Steve has all that and more. His online nickname Sarek speaks of his logical side, yet here on PlanetBears we just love to look at his... well... softer yet husky side of him. Wonderful soothing eyes, charming smile, witty, intelligent and all the while, independent. Super catch if someone is able to steal this man's heart.

These are all new Bear amateur galleries for PlanetBears. Actually, a lot of these guys consider themselves Chubby Bears, which just means there's a bit more to grab onto, yet it also means they are a bit more to cuddle, to fondle, to nibble and to squeeze. These are the very first Bear Amateur Galleries that I put up. These were on BearPress, a news site I ran from '99 thru '00. You have to remember, at the time, digital cameras weren't really on the market yet and not everyone had scanners. Also connections were slow, so high-res pictures just did not exist. You're going to find a lot of the galleries here with sets of 3 to 4 pictures, small and grainy. However the purpose of this gallery is for history and nostalgia.

Jim GagBear has been posing in magazines for quite some time now, and he's been making some quality videos as well. There's a mailing list that has been devoted to him called Fans of GagBear and there is his site called BD Bear Studios in which you can purchase some of his DVDs. Jim has posted thousands of photos of himself on the net and he has been cool enough to send us some. He's a terrific guy and hopefully one day I'll actually get to meet him to do a photo shoot of my own with this extremely handsome Bear.

I fell in love with GianOrso (website) and his photos the day I saw them on SBQR (website). Ever since, I have been fortunate enough to be in contact and I was even able to briefly meet him when he came to Canada for a visit from his native Italy. His work is going to be legendary one day and he has the natural knack to capture the outmost best in every Bearish man he shoots... and he also chooses the best looking men as well. Long live GianOrso.

We're starting to receive some new photos. Some very good looking amateur Bear models have been starting to send in photos they've taken of themselves, sharing it with us here on PlanetBears. This is the 4th gallery of photos from the Bear-Pics era. I'm interested in bringing back the amateur section, so if you have some photos of yourself that you'd like to share, send them in. It was a lot of fun having all these really great good looking Bearish guys send in their photos from all over world, so let's do this all over again. Start sending those photos in.

This is the 3nd 'Bear-Pics' Gallery. Now you have to remember that many of these photos were taken at a time when people were just starting to get digital cameras. When I started BearPress in '99, digital cameras were just getting into the market. Before, it cost a fortune to have your photos developed then it would take hours to scan them into your pc... digital erased all that and allowed cute Bearish men to take as many photos as they wanted. So the following years - once BearPress became Bear-Pics, it was quite common to see hundreds of photos in some of the Bear Amateur galleries.

This is the 2nd 'Bear-Pics' Gallery. All these photos were sent to me between '99 thru '06 and the guys who sent them gave me permission to put them up on the site. Nevertheless, BearPress (the company that runs PlanetBears and the defunct Bear-Pics) doesn't claim the rights to any of these photos. If you are the owner of any of these photos and do not wish to have them displayed, simply contact us and we'll (sadly) remove them.

This is the 1st 'Bear-Pics' Amateur Gallery. Here you will find amateur photos sent in during the days of Bear-Pics.com and BearPress.com (from '99 to '06). At the time, there was a section on these sites exclusively for guys who sent in pics of themselves. It was a popular section of the site, receiving thousands of visits a day. I even had a ton of guys sending me in photos which I wasn't even able to add since it was starting to get out of hand.

BearMontreal is one seriously tall, dark and handsome Bearish man. He speaks perfect French and his English is very good yet he also has that sexy European French accent thing going on. All the while, he's actually Italian in descent. A terrific guy, intelligent, professioanl and really sweet too. He's an impressive 6'2 and built like a quarterback, moderately hairy and uncut. He's single, enjoys being a bachelor, but is open to meeting friends. He's also a friend of Roger's and here's hoping that we'll get together soon for that 'shower' scene we didn't have time to do the 1st time around. 

Richard is definitely a Daddy Bear in all sense of the word. He's tall, handsome, debonair, dresses well and speaks with an air of confidence. He also has this tender fatherly way about him, a firm tenderness, if that makes sense. He's also got a sense of humour that does undermine anyone. A really fine gentleman who lives in Montreal, is bilingual while also worldly.

Ben Goodman aka Thudd is this seriously cute almost pocket Bear (I say almost because he's something like 5'10'' or so which doesn't classify him as a pocket Bear, but he's well compact... anyhow, I said almost) who's from Ottawa. He's got a personality on him the size of Texas and you need to be on your game just to keep up with him. But what's great about him is he's funny, smart, witty and has a good sense of humour... not to mention cute, husky, looks like someone in the mafia, and furry in all the right places.

I met Str8Bear at a nudist beach. He told me he was straight but he was interested in having his picture taken. He was definitely shy since this was his first time, and he was also a bit nervous as well, however it didn't take long for him to warm up to the camera, and he definitely has a Bearish body even tho he had no clue about Bear culture. We did 2 photo shoots and I (sadly) lost the 2nd one (which I think was better than the 1st).

When I first started working on the net on a site called BearPress, Pugsley was actually my partner. We were both members of the now defunct Bears of Montreal group, and I had the idea of running a news site for Bears and he had the know how of HTML. We worked together for about 5 months until Pugsley realized that he had way too many projects to oversee, so we parted ways. This was back in 1999. Fast forward many years later and I asked Pugs if he was interested in doing a quick photoshoot with me, which he complied and the results are these pics. I truly didn't realize just how seriously cute he was until I took a good look at our photoshoot. He's one truly cute Bear Cub.

GimpBear came to me wanting to do a photo shoot however he wanted to keep his identity a secret. I had already done a photoshoot with another cute guy who wanted to remain anonymous, and that was with BearX. However with BearX, he just wanted his feet photographed, but GimpBear was more interested in full body shots. So out came the mask and in no time we took a bunch of photos. Now the more we went along in our photo shoot, the more I realized the kinkier side to GimpBear. So out came the leather, the handcuffs and the rope. GimpBear has a great Bearish body and he's also truly cute, however sworn to secrecy his identity shall forever remain classified.

The very first time I met Roger, he took away my breath, he stole my heart and he will forever be the man I will love on this big beautiful blue and green planet. Roger is - to me - what a Bear is... it's not just physical, altho he has a superb husky hairy body (he has the cutest hands and feet I have seen on anyone), with a smile that uplifts spirits every time and eyes white blue that mystify, almost hypnotize. Roger has a soul that shines and his aura can fill up a room. He's a gentleman, a wise man, intelligent, witty and sweet. I'm fortunate to know and be with him.

Daniel is definitely attractive. The first time I met him, he had a mohawk and he was still cute. Soft spoken but definitely full of spirit, especially if you start to talk about anything philosophically inclined. Daniel has a very earthy way about him, a misplaced flower child. He would have made an excellent hippy Bear. He's fun and cuddly with puppy eyes that will melt any cold hearted soul. He's also very playful and is up to trying pretty much anything. We toyed with a few fantasies in relation to photo shoots, yet never got around to them. A pity, really. 

Mjollnir should have been a Viking, a captain of a longship back in the 9th Century. He definitely is built like a Viking (not sure exactly, but he's something like 6'4'' and around 350 pounds) and if you ever get the chance to meet him, he'll tell you a hundred lores of the Old Norse. He also has piercing blue eyes and a smile that could melt any freezing heart. He's a real nice guy to boot.

Orlando, aka Eito, came over to Montreal from New York in the fall of 2002 to do a photo shoot. Sadly, he passed away in late 2005. A really kind soul, super cute, and easy going. It's such a shame he left us at such a young age. I'm keeping this pictures up in memory of him so he'll forever remain young and handsome. He had the true essence of a Bear: husky, burly, hairy, kind and sweet, smiling with laughter, and very easy going. He's missed.

MogwaiCub was a young Bear Cub at the time we took these pics, back in 2002 and in 2003. He was 22/23 at the time yet looked at acted much older for his age. With his incredibly cute face and his myriad of thoughtful expressions, it's just so easy to fall in love with this young man. We did 2 photo shoots and at the time we joked that we would at some point get together again to 'finish' the trilogy. Well here's hoping that MogwaiCub and I will get together again at some point of the future so as to complete the set.

Sylvain, aka TeddyBear, is this extremely cute guy who has proven to be very popular here at PlanetBears. He's also a really sweet guy, loves to laugh and is also pretty adventurous. He's got a great husky Bearish body that's hairy pretty much all over. I should also mention he's gentle and kind. A terrific guy all around and someone who I have worked with the most in relation to photo shoots. We've done at least a dozen together, if not more.

Eric is a French European who moved to Canada when he was a young lad. He's probably one of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet. Actually, he always seems to be getting himself in some kind of trouble because he's just too nice and has a hard time saying no. He's a lot of fun to work with and we've done some pretty crazy photoshoots in some very unlikely of places (such as junkyards and cemeteries), and I'm sure we'll do plenty more in the future.

David seems shy at first but once you get to know him he warms up to you very quickly. He's always got a great smile to shine your way, which makes you feel great, and such a cute furry Bearish body he has, right down to the little hairs on his stubby sweet toes. He's living in Albany right now and plans to move to Canada one day. His plan is be with his partner Eric (Zoonino here in the galleries). The 3 of us have gotten together quite often in the past and we've worked on some pretty weird and wild stuff, yet we've also done some pretty classy stuff as well.

Frank was one of the 1st guys I took pics of. I remember the little camera I had and yet that little camera was able to capture some really incredible shots of this very handsome man. He came up from New Jersey and spent almost a full week which allowed us to get a whole variety of pics. And I gotta admit, a lot of the photos involved Frank tied up in some fashion or another. Poor Frank, yet he never complained. A trooper, and a very good looking one at that.

Friedrich (Fred) has the head of a doctor, the heart of a Bear and the blood of a viking. He's a pharmacist who plans on going back to school one day, which makes him quite smart in my books. At the same time, he's tall, blond and handsome and has a great dry humour. Very witty to boot as well. When I 1st met him he was single but since then he has found the man of his dreams and they actually got married. Congrats for that ~ and the guy Fred is with, well... he's a lucky guy 'cause Fred is a true gem of a Bear Cub.

Sputnyk is just too cute for his own good as well as being a real nice guy. I met him real quick at a pool side party. He approached me - like a sputnyk - filled with fuel and fire, and as fast as I met, he disappeared. We finally hooked up afterwards for a couple of photo shoots and now he's disappeared once again but if I find him, I'll do my best to convince to get in front of the camera once more.

Shawn and Warren are a cool and collected couple from Ottawa, the capital of Canada. Warren is the quiet strong type while Warren will have you laughing (usually at yourself) the whole day thru. Two strikingly handsome men who are a lot of fun to be with, and the weekend we spent together to do this photoshoot was one truly fine weekend in the summer. The days were picture perfect and I had 2 great looking Bears in front of me all day... couldn't ask for more.

Sasha is a striking young Bear, with dark mysterious eyes, a wild head of strong brown hair and a smile that will easily have you wooing. A lot of fun to be with and he has a great outlook on life. Oh, and is he ever furry, from his head right down to the little hairs on his cute toes. He's very intelligent and has a keen look on life. He lives well and is truly charming.

Rocky is a mature Daddy who lives out in the Western part of Canada. He has a great love for life, has a soothing voice and if he has his guitar with him, he just might serenade a song or two for you. He's got a great Daddiesque body which is very easy on the eye. He's also got a great personality, is always smiling and is a man who loves life. He's good for your soul.

OneDragon (René) likes dragon, so he says, and a lot of surfers like OneDragon since he's a truly handsome French Bear (who'se bilingual). I first saw OneDragon at a party and I was hooked. We kept in touch here and there ever since that party until we finally agreed on a date for a shoot. Since we've taken these photos, Rene has fallen in and out of love with this one guy and he's contact me recently wanting to do another shoot. Hopefully we'll agree on a time soon.

MBACub has the cute body of a Bear yet he has the heart, soul and mind of a Cub. A really terrific guy who lives out in Toronto and we try our best to get together every now and then to update his photo portfolio. And not only is he super hunky but he's highly intelligent, intuitive and even tho he wouldn't admit it, he has a calming spiritual side to him. Oh and his laugh... he has this one of a kind laugh that is truly endearing... especially if you're lucky enough to tickle him with a joke, or - even better - with your fingers across his meaty little toes.

Jean and Roger have a special relationship as they have a deep understanding and appreciation for the other. Roger, the 'Bear' in this couple, is a ruggedly handsome mature husky fellah who has a great twinkle in his eye whenever he smiles. It's hard to think that he's also very shy. As for his partner, Jean, is quite spiritual by nature and has a great joy for life. A really fun couple.

James is a cute American who lives in New York and he has some of the coolest blue eyes about. A fun guy with an electrifying personality and another thing that caught my eye with this handsome young lad is that he has also done several photo spreads for BearBound. He plays rugby and it shows because he's got one truly strong husky built.

GilBear is one of the very first 'Bears' I met in the sense that I met GilBear at the first Bear event that I attended. He didn't say much but he sure smiled a lot, and that caught my eye. Fast forward about a decade later and GilBear came over for his very first photo shoot (and hopefully not his last). And yes, honestly a really great guy.

It took awhile for Gadzukes and I to hook up but with a little help from some friends (Eric and his van), we finally got together for a photo shoot. Gadzukes is a 6'2'' husky husky young man (he's truly twice the huskiness) and once you're face to face with him, he is quite impressionable. However, once you get to know him a little better, you'll see he's just a really nice guy that looks like a small tank.

David is a seriously handsome husky guy from New York City. I first saw David's pictures in Beef Mag and we contacted each other shortly after from there. When David came to Montreal for his long weekend photo shoot, I found out that he is definitely not an easy Bear to keep up with. David is also (easily) one of the most witty men I've met - as well as sardonic - so if you ever meet up with him, here's hoping you can keep up with his wit.

Here is one fine couple from Europe now living in Canada: Mr BigDad25 and Cub4BigDad. Really nice guys, both of them easy to get along with and both me and BigDad have something in common: we both like to torment Cub4BigDad (and he's more the size of a Grizzly than a Cub). Cub says he's not submissive yet he does like getting tied up and have older Bearish rough him up. He also gets off on cum control. He's truly a lot of fun to be with, and Dad is a great guy ~ funny, witty, charming. Great couple.

Panda is truly a gem. Over the years, I've gotten to know Panda better and we try and have a really good time everytime we work on another set of photos. Panda has a true love for holidays and we have worked on almost every possible theme available, from Xmas to Halloween, and every time we do, the pictures just seem to get wilder and wilder.

TarotBear is one of the very first handsome men that I photographed. This site went from BearPress to bear-pics and after getting to know TarotBear a little after publishing a few articles about his spiritual talent, he agreed to come up from the States for a weekend photoshoot. A very handsome man, both in real life and in front of the camera, and a man with a gift with tarot cards.

So I'm home alone on the pc and *pop* - a little instant message comes my way from Bearwww. So I check it out... it's someone I've never met before... he says 'hey'... so I put the bowl of popcorn down and reply back 'hey'... a couple of hours later, Jack is at my house and we're working on a photo shoot. Welcome to the wonderful world of the internet.

Fate played a huge part when I first met Ricky. We had spoken a few times on the phone about doing a photo shoot yet our schedules never met up. Then one afternoon, sitting in a leather bar, I see this cute guy sit next to me. I had no clue who he was save the fact that he was adorable. However, once he started to talk, I recognized his voice. It was Ricky who I'd been talking to yet never met. A really nice guy and is partner with CowBear.

CowBear is this great guy that is soft spoken and has a warm heart. He's handsome from head to toe and has a superb smile. He is an example of masculinity. His partner is Ricky, another great looking guy. CowBear does have a soft spot, and that's for bondage. He really gets off on being tied up, and so every time we've done a photo shoot, a lot of rope, leather and metal restraints were used.

Chris is an uber handsome American who now lives in Canada. A great guy, a little shy but once you get to know him, he warms up quite nicely. Chris is one of those guys who looks a little different in real life than he does in his pictures; in real life, he has this quiet fatherly side to him, definitely someone who looks like he has a family and is probably a great dad. In his pictures, he has this scary confidence about him and you almost feel like you should be on your knees and calling him 'sir' all afternoon.

When ChooChoo came up to visit, he made a little request that he'd like to meet up with TeddyBear. So we called him up and Teddy was more than happy to spend the weekend with us. What came of that weekend was some really great pics of these 2 cuties getting it on, and most of all we had quite a bit of fun coming up with a few interesting different themes. The chemistry between these 2 was quite wild, from making out to some heavy bondage scenes.

BuzzBeeBear is just a little too shy to show his face on camera, but he has some terrific legs he didn't mind showing off. We took a walk on the beach and I grab some shots of him barefoot in the sand and water, then we went back to my place and he wanted to play with my ropes and cuff. I, of course, agreed and tied him up pretty good.

Chip is by far the hairiest man I've ever worked with. He had more 'treasure trails' all over his body than I've seen on anyone else, enough of them to make any pirate salivate (that's silly of me to say, I know, but Chip is just so completely covered in dark fur, a definite turn on for those who love hairy men). And besides being hairy, he's one heck of a guy. Bilingual, intelligent, and there's definitely a mystery to unravel behind those dark brown eyes of his.

You don't get to see his BearX's face in any of these shots but you do get to see a great deal of his great beefy legs... as well as his feet. There's also quite a bit of bondage with ropes, leather and legcuffs. He's a shy guy but he's open enough to show us his legs and feet ~ booted, with socks and bare foot (or is that Bear foot?). You just want to wrap your hands around his meaty dogs.

BusterBear came all the way from Europe to Canada to have his pictures taken. We didn't have too much time together for a photoshoot yet the little time we did spend together showed me he was a really great guy. Maybe he'll come back again for another visit for another photo session. Uber nice guy with a cute Bearish body to boot.

BusBearMTL is a... guess what... a busdriver in Montreal. I remember all the times I've been in a bus and whenever the bus driver was cute, I'd try and find a seat near the front. However, if my bus driver would have been BusBearMTL, I think I would even miss my stop on purpose. He's a really nice French speaking Bear with blue eyes that will make you woo.

PapiBear is a seriously cute French Canadian Bear that is pretty shy when you first meet him yet he becomes quite charming after he warms up to you. I like to bug him that he reminds me of Fred Flintstone (didn't we all have a crush on Fred as a kid?), and I tell him I wanna be his Barney Rubble but instead he likes to call me Wilma, his bitch. Seriously - PapiBear is a classy Bear who can hypnotize you with his electrifying eyes, his wonderful smile and incredibly beautiful Bearish body.
