His name is Mike Dreyden (photo) and he's one hot muscle Bear Cub from Brooklyn, New York. Tight 'n hairy in all the right places. I just read on his blog that his reign as King Stink of the pits is coming to an end soon and that he'll be passing his crown to the next winner... that's gotta be something to see... Ever since that redneck show 'Blue Collar TV' with 'Larry the Cable Guy', it seems that people have embraced their inner-redneck. Before, calling someone a redneck was somewhat impolitically incorrect, even an insult, but now people want to be known as a redneck.

Take Steve McGranahan, for example. Every time he introduces himself, he says "hi, I'm Steve McGranahan and I'm the world's strongest redneck". He probably is... especially when he likes to twist horseshoes into pretzels, bend iron rods without breaking a sweat, and he enjoys biting phone books and decks of cards (seems he also has the strongest teeth for a redneck).

Every now and then Wikipedia features a guy who definitely could be considered a Bear. Today they are featuring the General Winfield Hancock. From Wiki: "He served with distinction in the Army for four decades, including service in the Mexican-American War and as a Union general in the American Civil War. Known to his Army colleagues as 'Hancock the Superb', he was noted in particular for his personal leadership at the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863".

I'm not one who cares anything for wars, but soldiers do look good in their uniforms, and you gotta love this picture of the general, a picture of him taken after his warring days. You can see that he'd put on the pounds a bit and he's kinda busting a little at the seems in his old uniform which he probably had to dust off for the pic.

And that beard 'n stache... very funky... 

My partner Roger (gallery - profile) loves getting and receiving email. He has a bunch of friends he emails with and they all send each other either inspirational letters, funny videos or beautiful pictures from around the world... among other stuff. And every now and then, Roger will forward me an email he think I'll enjoy. So I get this one email he sent me and it's got incredible images... however it was the song that hooked me. I had heard before... somewhere... so I did a bit of searching and found it on the net. The singer's name was Iz ~ Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. He was 38 when he died, and at one point in his life he weighed 758 pounds which is pretty incredible.

By the way... I keep getting choked up each time I listen to it. Why? I don't know, but it strikes a chord somewhere deep within me. I really know nothing about art. I don't know why one painting is sold for millions while another painting is sold for nothing. There's way too much politics within the art world that I know nothing about, however some artist make it, some don't (how insightful of me, huh...).

However, what's interesting here - altho this is a painting of a woman - it's a painting of an obese woman... and while many people will find that disgusting, I know that a lot of people get equally turned by that. I know a lot of guys who get turned on by men who look like that or else there would be no need for sites like SuperChubs.

What's even more interesting - this painting went for $33.6M at an auction. The painter is Lucian Freud, the grandson of Sigmund Freud, and this painting which is entitled 'Benefits Supervisor Sleeping' (Google) sets a price record for a work by a living artist.

Anyhow, what's interesting here is - the model is an overweight woman and not some gorgeous skinny young lass, and the amount of money it received is just phenomenal. So can someone explain to me... just what it beauty?

Anyhow... 'Big Sue' is the model... and what did she have to say: "I think he probably picked me because he got value for money. He got a lot of flesh".

This has nothing to do with human Bears and everything to do with the four-legged kind of bears. I rarely write about anything about the four-legged kind or about the plush kind (like teddy bears) but this morning when I went to Wikipedia to read their featured article... well... this was one article that strung a few chords in my heart. It's about a polar bear named Knut.

I never heard of Knut before however he's quite the celebrity. Rejected by his mother at birth, he was subsequently raised by humans and has attracted many crowds to the Berlin Zoo.

On a personal note - I am truly glad that the men that I find attractive have used the bear animal to symbolically represent them. They have to be the most incredible creatures - being able to be so ferocious while equally tender. They are definitely cute as, just like the men they represent.

It's always fun when the featured article over at Wikipedia is about some husky Bearish guy. This time it's about the author Honoré de Balzac who only lived for 51 years yet composed over a hundred novels (which - to me - is an insane amount of books). Spears, Spears, Spears... anytime I head over to the Google's news page, I see something new about poor little Britney Spears. Remember when she shaved her head and called herself the AntiChrist...? Then she looked a little shaky on MTV, and something about being an unfit mother. Well Spears has been definitely fodder for the gossip groups, and there's been plenty of spoof skits about her... however it took porn star Francois Sagat to bring Britney back to stardom and make her sexy all over again. It just might be the hottest moment in toothbrushing history yet.

Did you guys watch David Letterman last night, with guest Kevin Smith? Smith was on the show and he spoke about the Bear community as well as A Bear's Life, a magazine in which he will be on the cover for the holiday season. I didn't get to see the show because I am up north where we have no TV (I am on dialup as well). Although I haven't watched TV in ages, I would have liked to seen that show.

I haven't watched any television is the past 6 months. Well, a couple of hours at most. And this week, I called in the cable guy and disconnected so now I'm really not going to be watching any television, not from home anyhow. I have everything I need on the net so I don't see why I need to spend $75 for something I don't use.

All this being said, now that I'm no longer plugged into tv-land, it seems there's a ton of cuties that are showing up on all those reality shows. And thanks to Chubarama - a website that dedicates itself almost to celebrity Bears - the site has been keeping me up to date with what talent that's being televised.

There's a couple of shows - America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent... well those 2 shows have had some pretty cute and talented finalists. With Britain's Got Talent, the winner is this shy Paul Potts (website - YouTube clip). Wow what a voice - this guy will definitely bring a tear to your eye, guaranteed.

Moving on over to America's Got Talent, you have this white reggae-like singer that reminds me of the late Bradley of Sublime. His name is Cas Haley (MySpace page - YouTube clip) and he's got such a cool summer-like voice. He came in as runner up to... believe it or not... a ventriloquist, who is also pretty darn cute. His name is Terry Fator (website - YouTube clip).

It seems that CyberBears did not find it funny when they found that a clip from one of their movies was used as a gag on the Conan O'Brien show. From CyberBears: "Here's an interesting twist on the new public acceptance of porn. We here at CyberBears, LLC were recently made aware that an establishing scene from one of our copyrighted adult DVD titles was used this past week on the Conan O'Brien show. We had not been informed of this use, nor asked for permission to use the clip, so we investigated further.

It appears that, during an interview broadcast on the July 18th '07 episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Adam Sandler introduced a clip of two men sharing an apple as a scene from his new movie. It was actually a clip of two of our performers, Joe Falconi and Ali, from a copyrighted adult video titled 'Feed the Bears', directed by Ken Slater, and released in '06 by CyberBears, LLC.

All of our DVD's clearly indicate that they are only licensed and sold for in-home viewing by consenting adults. The notion of broadcasting a portion of one of our adult movies over open network television violates the spirit of the legal and ethical guidelines our company follows to shield our content from inappropriate viewers.

Of course, we are also concerned about protecting our copyrighted materials. We were surprised that neither the performers, the director, nor the company were credited.

We do understand very well the legal notion of fair use as it applies to copyrighted material used for reporting, satire, and public interest media. We believe that NBC's inappropriate use of clearly labeled adult content in violation of the stated terms, their misrepresentation of the content presented, and their failure to credit the actual source, all exceeded their rights".

He's cute, married, a republican in Florida and he is anti-gay... and yet he has been recently arrested for soliciting an undercover male cop for a $20 blowjob. I was visiting Chubarama when I came upon this article about Mike Daisy. Getting back to the article, Mike is doing his monologue when all of a sudden a bunch of people get up in the middle of his shoe, someone pours water on his table, and they leave. It's nutty.

However I do remember seeing him on tv when I was really little, not understanding his homophobic crap but thinking - gosh he's cute in his suit... would look tons better with a beard tho... even young I liked beards.

ok - unrelated but I had nowhere else to put this - the alternate ending to Wizard of Oz... and yes... there's 2 endings (Thanks Panda Jacques)... and another section of the movie that didn't make it (I don't make these shows, I just report 'em - thanks Mike B. for this link). I posted them here in Falwell's article to say that - one way to be racism and homophobia - is to laugh at it. Learn to laugh at yourself and what others say won't matter - old lesson but a good one.
